Huayang Mountain Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Shunchang County, Wuyishan, a world double heritage, 8 kilometers away from the county seat. The scenic spot with Tianmen Peak, Huayang Peak and Sanbao Peak as the core covers an area of about 5 square kilometers. There are dense forests, steep peaks, waterfalls, rare birds and animals, rugged rocks and caves in the scenic area, which have been full of mysterious colors since ancient times. Huayang Mountain Scenic Area has unique scenery and convenient transportation, and is a good place for leisure tourism. Wooden houses and tile houses in Huangkeng, a natural village of She nationality, commonly known as Yanziping, are scattered on the hillside at the entrance to the scenic spot. The whole village is covered with green grass, flat terrain, bamboo fence, melon shed and bean rack, maintaining the original appearance of the She nationality.
There is a small stone arch bridge at the entrance of the village, next to the towering old trees, surrounded by green trees. Under the bridge is a waterfall more than two meters high and 10 meters wide. The splash of silver beads and the fresh air are the first scenery to enter the scenic spot. Scenic spots are characterized by waterfalls, strange rocks and caves. The scenic spot is divided into three tourist routes: Middle Road, Left Road and Right Road. Starting from the right, climb the mountain stream, there are more than a dozen waterfalls of different sizes, and the most fascinating one is the third waterfall. The first waterfall is Yulongtan Waterfall, and the spring water flows down through the cracks in the boulder, such as Yulong entering the pool. This waterfall is as beautiful as jade, as beautiful as osmanthus, as beautiful as Qionghua, and the pool is full of gentle water. The bamboo forest by the pool is dense and the vines are swaying.
The second waterfall is Yuanyang Waterfall, with a total length of more than 50 meters, a width of 10 meters and a slope of 45 degrees. The pool water flows evenly from the top of the waterfall, like a white floating wire, and the high-speed running water collides with the uneven cliff surface, like broken jade and flying snow. The waterfall fell into the pool, nearly 200 square meters. The third waterfall is Huyue Waterfall, which is located at the shoulder of Tianmen Peak and Huyan Peak. The upper part of the waterfall is joined by two mountain streams. The waterfall is 26 meters high and 6 meters wide, and it is descending. The roar was as loud as that of Xia Lei, and could be heard several kilometers away. When it is illuminated by sunlight, a rainbow will appear in the fog formed by the waterfall, which is very beautiful. There is a boulder under the waterfall, which looks like a lion's head. It used to be here. After the waterfall, you can go to Tianmen Peak on the right and choose the middle road or the left road. There are Tianmen Stone, Yuxi Stone, Sanshen Stone, Saddle Stone, Kirin Stone, Toad Stone, Xianzhang Rock and Narcissus Cave.
Scenic spots include monkeys watching the moon, turtles exploring the lake, goldfinches squatting in their nests, the Chang 'e and Song Dynasties, and peaches in Jin Lu. The main caves are Guanyin Cave, Spiral Wind Tunnel, Monkey Cave, Eight Immortals Cave, water curtain cave and Bat Cave. It is fun to swim and play in the pool under the waterfall in summer, and climbing mountains in winter can strengthen muscles and keep fit. There is a forest flat with hundreds of square meters above Yuanyang Waterfall. There are many ancient trees in Gu Teng on the flat land. You can build a hammock and lie in it to listen to the sound of the waves in the forest. It is very comfortable to close your eyes and relax. There are many pots and pans built by tourists with stones. Visitors can bring their own cookware to light a picnic, or rent cookware from the scenic spot management office. If it is convenient, you can have a meal in Huayang Temple, and the meal fee is given away by tourists for free. Above 20 yuan, the elders in the temple will announce the names of tourists on the merit list. If you want to taste the special diet of the She nationality, you can make an appointment at the She nationality's home before entering the scenic spot, and go to Huangkeng Village to taste echo, black rice, zongzi and tea. On festive days, you can also watch the unique wedding customs of the She nationality, such as being a cousin, being a wife, welcoming relatives and so on.
