What is an exercise prescription?
In 1950s, American physiologist Carpovici put forward the concept of exercise prescription. 1969, the World Health Organization used the word "exercise prescription" and it was confirmed internationally.

Exercise prescription is made for exercisers or patients who need rehabilitation in the form of prescription according to their physical examination data, health status, physical strength and cardiovascular function, combined with their personal characteristics such as living environment performance and sports hobbies, and points out the matters needing attention in exercise, so as to exercise regularly in a planned way and achieve the purpose of fitness or treatment. Because people's situations vary widely, exercise prescriptions can be divided into fitness exercise prescriptions, recreational exercise prescriptions, weight-loss exercise prescriptions, therapeutic exercise prescriptions and other types according to their uses.
