In Europe and America, is strength training a minority sport?
Europe and the United States are more developed in weightlifting than China, and the proportion of participants in the total number is also higher than that of China. However, in view of their fitness atmosphere and consciousness, and the development level of the fitness industry is generally much better than that in China, weightlifting is still a minority sport in Europe and America. The so-called international weightlifting organizations, such as IPF and GPA, lag far behind international organizations such as boxing and bodybuilding. Following the east wind of fitness boom, domestic weightlifting has developed in recent years, but it has not developed much. However, this small development has also caused many hills and factions, which have been badly torn. Pigs stuffed with onions dressed as elephants, and everyone dressed as leaders. Before the market cake became bigger, everyone picked up a knife and fork and poked at the competitors. It's too ugly to eat. Many people are strong, small-minded, funny and strange! Strength, the concept of "strength" may be more popular abroad. When I went to college in the United States, I met several uncles who practiced weightlifting in the gym, various Inzer belts and girls who practiced strength. I feel that many mainstream Americans combine the concept of strength with fitness or bodybuilding. Everyone subconsciously wants to lift a heavier barbell with high threshold and high talent requirements, which is doomed by the public. Specializing in weightlifting, there are some standards. Maybe you can get close to this point through fitness and hard training, but this is just an introduction from others. Europe and America don't know, but in China, this is a minority sport, and people around me don't know what powerlifting is at all except me. Strength is given to track and field events. Ball games and all kinds of big balls are more popular in Europe and America, so weightlifting is less in Europe and America.
