Personal life

1 August 1 day, Huang Meiying was born in San Francisco, California. Her mother died of cancer when she was 13 years old. Huang Meiying is the third in the family, with a brother and a sister.

Huang Meiying's English name Stephanie Hwang was given to her by her parents when she was born. She originally wanted to make her debut in Korea as a stage name, but Jin Baojing, a member of Grace band, a singing group in Korean performing arts, made her debut as a stage name because she was afraid of repeating her name.
