Source: China Military Network, People's Liberation Army News and Communication Center, Media Author: John Yang Wuxingjian "Revolution cannot forget its roots, Yan 'an style can never be lost." —— Li Peiying introduced Li Peiying at the age of 97.1922+0/kloc-0 was born in Mizhi County, Yan 'an, Shaanxi Province in June, 1935 joined the revolution, and 1944 was transferred to 120 Division as a pro-democracy officer. He has served as a security officer of the Logistics Health Department of the former Lanzhou Military Region, a member of the battlefield task force, a company commander and political instructor of the Fifth Rear Hospital, an instructor of the Qinghai-Tibet Military Station Department, a chief of the Security Department of the former Lanzhou Military Region General Hospital, a chief of the management of the Qinghai-Tibet Office of the former General Logistics Department, and a deputy director of the Xingping Arsenal of the former General Logistics Department. Won the People's Meritorious Medal and Liberation Medal, and 1988 won the Second Class Red Star Meritorious Medal. 1976: Leave work and rest in April. Now lives in Xi 'an, Shaanxi. As long as he talks about the past, Li Peiying, 96, can't stop talking, and even several reporters can't get in a word. Looking at this old man whose memory is surging like a flood, the reporter can't help feeling that time can't take everything away, and those experiences and beliefs that have been sacrificed and struggled with their lives are as clear and firm at any time. When I came to Li Peiying's old man's house, I was half an hour ahead of the appointed time. However, the family of the old man has been waiting early. The fruit on the table is rich and tidy, and drinks and tea are readily available, as if waiting for a long-lost guest. Seeing the reporter's appearance, the old man was very happy and greeted the reporter in a wheelchair. On one wall, a banner that reads "Caring for the villagers warms people's hearts, and the soldiers, civilians, fish and water are a family" is very dazzling, and the sound of "mine warfare" on TV lingers throughout the living room. Li Peiying was wearing a military uniform, and the military medal on his chest was particularly dazzling. Photographed by Wu Xingjian, a reporter from China Military Network, nothing is luckier than finding the right path. When Li Peiying was 7 years old, he left Mizhi County, Shaanxi Province, where he was born, and went to Yan 'an with his mother. As long as he can remember, his childhood life was very difficult, not to mention the poor food and clothing conditions and the harassment of the Kuomintang army. "Catch Ding for food", the people had to run to the ravine and hide until the Red Army came here. 1935 is a milestone that can never be bypassed in the revolutionary history of China. This year, the Central Red Army of Workers and Peasants led by Mao Zedong took the lead in breaking through the tight encirclement and arrived in northern Shaanxi to join forces with the Red Army of northern Shaanxi. When I first met the Central Red Army, Li Peiying only felt incredible. At present, this army with bare feet, shabby clothes and insufficient weapons and equipment will feel "irregular." Li Peiying's village of Taige, Zhang Shan, is located in the main traffic road. After the Red Army came, the Red Guards, Young Pioneers, Children's Corps and other organizations were established in the village, and Li Peiying became the head of the Children's Corps. Li Peiying clearly remembers that he became the head of the Children's League. He stood guard, stood guard, did exercises, trained and learned to sing revolutionary songs. He is very proud of his status as a "red boy". Later, Li Peiying joined the local guerrillas and fought with Liu Zhidan's troops. Under the baptism of artillery fire, "Hong Haier" gradually grew into a real revolutionary soldier. In June, 1935, 1 1, Zhiluo Town won the battle, which laid the foundation for the CPC Central Committee and the Red Army to take root in northern Shaanxi. Speaking of this experience, Li Peiying still remembers: "The battle of Zhiluo was not easy! Some people in our team don't even have weapons. They used broadswords and spears, and there was no uniform. They wear clothes that they usually wear at home, wear them during the day and cover them at night. " Why did you join the Red Army and the * * * Production Party? Li Peiying said that the Red Army led by the Productive Party truly serves the people. He still remembers that at that time, the Red Army often didn't serve food, so it sprinkled a little salt into the rice. ""Peng said that he would never ask the people of northern Shaanxi for food. "In Li Peiying's eyes, the Red Army is organized and disciplined, and will definitely lead the villagers to live a better life. The old man smiled as if he had just seen the Red Army. Revolutionary years can always make people grow rapidly. 1936, Li Peiying joined the China * * * production party. Li Peiying is talking about his past years. Photographed by Wu Xingjian, a reporter from China Military Network, nothing is more precious than two loving hearts. Halfway through the interview, Li Peiying began to move his right foot from time to time. His right foot is obviously much more swollen than his left foot. The old man said it was a disease left by an injury during the war, and it still hurts faintly. 1947, Yan' an Defence War started, and Li Peiying went to Yan' an from Jinsui to preside over the pro-democracy movement. What impressed him most was the battle of 1948 Baoji. At that time, our army was surrounded by enemy troops in Henan, Sichuan and Gansu, and Peng ordered the troops to retreat northward across the Jinghe River. When retreating, every soldier took a shell, a piece of cloth and food, which always weighed dozens of pounds. Li Peiying injured his right foot while running. Misfortune and happiness are perhaps the best footnotes for Li Peiying's injury. Who would have thought that once you are injured and hospitalized, you will meet the person who loves you for life! At the Fifth Rear Hospital of the Northwest Military Region at that time, the 26-year-old got to know Gao, a 2 1 year-old nurse, and two passionate young people full of revolutionary ideals, and met in that era of heavy gunfire. After falling in love for more than a year, they formally got married in a farmhouse in Kangjia Village, Ganjiazhai, Xi City. Li Peiying recalled that the wedding was very simple. The wedding room was borrowed from local people, but they were very happy. Less than half a year after marriage, Gao followed to Lanzhou and became a nurse in the former General Hospital of Lanzhou Military Region. The winter in Lanzhou is very cold and windy, and the conditions are much worse than expected. It is in this environment that Mr. and Mrs. Li Peiying become more and more firm in their choice of each other and never give up. From then on, Lanzhou, Qinghai ... finally returned to Xi 'an, because of work needs, Li Peiying has been in the northwest of China. However, wherever he goes, his wife Gao is always with him, supporting and taking care of him. So far, they have worked together for 70 years. In Li Peiying's bedroom, the reporter saw the wedding photos of two old people. Black and white tones can't hide the handsome appearance of the two of them when they were young. Wearing a skirt and a military uniform, Gao looks young and solemn. That burning youth was thus engraved in a black-and-white photo. Son Li Jianjun pushes Li Peiying. Wu Xingjian, a reporter from China Military Network, took photos without special proportion, but he felt more deeply that due to physical reasons, he knew more about Li Peiying's old man in his communication with his son Li Jianjun. Li Peiying has five children, two sons and three daughters. Li Jianjun, the fourth child in the family, is 63 years old. Li Jianjun joined the army when he was young. Li Peiying didn't ask him to be a soldier, because he was influenced by his father since he was a child. He volunteered to join the army. He said that the self-discipline and style he learned in the army influenced his life. 20 18, Li Jianjun did what he thought was the most meaningful thing in his life. He went to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with Fa Xiaoxue and others 10, and went to the Chitai Military Station where Li Peiying once worked. Li Jianjun has always had a complex about the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Thinking that his father had worked there for many years, he wanted to visit. Li Peiying used to work in Nachitai Station, but Li Jianjun didn't know much about it. Li Jianjun found a report about Li Peiying in1951-1979 Selected Literary Prose of the People's Liberation Army (originally published in PLA Literature and Art No.2, 1963): It is even more memorable to mention Comrade Li Peiying, and his amiable image was blindfolded. He is a political instructor at the station and an excellent political worker. He often used the Yan 'an style to educate all comrades in the station, saying that "the revolution cannot forget the roots, and the Yan 'an style cannot be lost. People call him a good housekeeper. I heard that the autobots also called him "Sister-in-law Li". At first I wondered why a gay man should be called a sister-in-law. Later, I realized that it was because he often patched up autobots in the past. He is the same all year round. Wherever he is busy, he will go there. There used to be many troops. As soon as he put on his white coat, he went to the kitchen, cooking and serving. If he doesn't wear a collar, no one can see that he is a major and think he is a chef. There are many posters praising him on the wall of the dining room. He has a rich set of production experience, is a careful man, and is best at calculating for the revolution. He is calm, warm-hearted and has nowhere to put his hands and feet. Wherever he goes, he will help him live a good life. He is really a tireless person. Judging from his appearance, he is about forty years old. His weather-beaten face reveals the unique stubbornness of plateau people. His heat energy is like fire, and everyone he comes into contact with has no admiration. Together with all the comrades in the station, he worked hard on the plateau for the sake of revolution and did not avoid all difficulties, and regarded the work of the station as a lifelong glory. I didn't know my father better until I really got to the station. It was really difficult for my father's generation to live and work in that environment at that time. "When I set foot on the road my father once walked, Li Jianjun's father's figure has been emerging, as if it were beside me. That feeling is very subtle. In fact, he went to the high military base without telling his father in advance. In Li Jianjun's eyes, Li Peiying is a traditional and pure person who is strict with his children, but doesn't have much time to discipline them. Parents don't expect much from us. We don't need to be rich or expensive, but we must have good character and integrity. " If the father's most distinctive feature, Li Jianjun thought it was energetic and hard-working. Speaking of energy, Li Jianjun smiled, with a hint of "love" and helplessness. It turns out that Li Peiying especially likes to play. After he retired, there was nothing to do. He will ride a bike everywhere, and he will go out on his own motorcycle in his 80 s. Now he can't run, and he has to push him out every day. He likes to go to crowded places and chat with people. "In this narrative of Li Jianjun, Li Peiying is different from the revolutionary image in the eyes of journalists, but more real and amiable. In children's minds, the father's label is always the father first. Li Peiying is being interviewed by a reporter from China Military Network. China Military Network reporter Wu Xingjian photo Li Peiying is 97 years old. Since his fall last year, he has to rely on his family to help him with many things, but he still tries to keep his old habits, go to bed early and get up early, watch news and anti-war dramas, and go out to chat with people. He is content with his old age and enjoys the good life now. (Produced by China Military Network People's Liberation Army News Communication Center)
