Gong Zhuang of Xingyiquan is mainly composed of three postures, which not only has the function of strengthening physique and laying a technical foundation, but also has the connotation of fighting and attacking. Martial arts proverbs say that "muscles are strong, but meat is thick and heavy." It is precisely because the muscle membrane is stretched through exercise that the joints can be flexible and the muscles are flexible, especially the elasticity and explosive force can be increased. Only when it is applied to Wushu can it be long, far and strong. Although Gong Zhuang was in a static state, he highlighted the hidden connotation of "stretching muscles and pulling bones". This is the gene that constitutes the development, flexibility, quickness and firmness of Xingyiquan. In fact, this feature has been trained since I stood in Gong Zhuang.
As the saying goes, "what moves in silence is true, and what moves in silence is true." In terms of martial arts techniques, being motionless in silence means being invisible and unprepared. Exercise Gong Zhuang's comprehensive basic kung fu. This is a combination of internal and external training and body application, so that it can master the correct posture and movements according to the technical requirements and pursue the training of internal meaning, so that it can move from static to dynamic, move with the whole body, and step into the advanced stage of unity of form and spirit, laying a good foundation for the wonderful situation of "no boxing, no heart, no heart is true". Therefore, Saint Gong Zhuang emphasized the intangible connotation and attack function of "moving in silence". In fact, the "movement" of "seeking movement in silence" is the training of "meaning", and Confucius is the connotation of arrogance and the cultivation of Neijing. Therefore, this "movement" should not only "seek" but also "restrain", so it is emphasized that "there is movement in quietness" because this internal mental function plays a good role in regulating and protecting the central nervous system. In addition, in Ba Shen exercise, muscle exercise makes the blood smooth, increases the support, and strengthens the metabolism of tissues and cells, so it has a good health care function. The performance and function of the above two characteristics, stretching tendons and pulling bones, and moving silently, are described as follows:

This is auspicious, with strong twisting and stretching force and strong "three promotion" (waist promoting shoulders, shoulders promoting elbows and elbows promoting hands). When xingyi punches, it is required to "understand Samsung's extra strength." The front legs are 30% strong and the rear legs are 70% strong. Jing Yun: Static is noumenon, dynamic is action, and dynamic in static is real movement, while static in dynamic is real static, and so is dynamic, and the body uses one source. On the other hand, Gong Zhuang not only talks about the effects of physical use, but also studies the causes of exercise. Therefore, it begins with "moving in silence". If you don't really move, you don't know what you mean, and if you don't really be quiet, you don't know sex. Silence is nature, movement is meaning, and there is no way to talk about the true meaning without silence. If the true meaning can move, it is "magic is god." Therefore, Xingyiquan requires the unity of form and spirit, and then pursues the superb realm of "when writing in virtual quietness, it is still innate and natural" and "static and motionless, connected with feelings and omnipotent". These pursuits are not the original intention, but to attract air and seek the wonderful use of attack and defense. Three-body only plays the role of movement and body, and it is also the beginning of "moving in silence". Its performance and function are as follows:
Look at the bones and muscles, which means paying attention to the tip joints of the upper limbs. With the cooperation of sinking shoulders and hanging elbows, palms and fingers will "move", with numbness, hot flu, gas sensation, and even knuckles will creak. Although the intention is not hard, it can penetrate the palm of your hand and penetrate the cusp. Pay attention to the stiffness of the lower limbs, the front knee and the flexion of the rear knee. With the cooperation of "Qu Long", the knee joint "moves" with a feeling of pain, heat flow and gas, and even the knee joint creaks. This can make the lower body firmly stuffed and the hind legs hard, and can also penetrate the "spring" to treat arthritis, cold legs and other diseases. (2) pranayama comes down to the root, that is, the abdomen will "move". With a sense of heat flow and gas, it will gradually fill the abdomen with true qi, so it is strong, rooted and endogenous. If you swallow too much liquid, it will lead to the abdomen, and there will be the sound of the abdomen purring down the lower abdomen, which will make your abdominal cavity loose and smooth, which is more beneficial to internal organs and abdominal diseases. This is the so-called "practicing the spirit of abdomen" and "practicing the spirit of abdomen for a long time", that is, "consolidating the roots of qi" and "hiding the true qi in the secret", that is, the so-called "Shen Yuan vitality" is consistent, from scratch, from small to large, all over the body. It is also a root for the formation and launch of internal strength. Three-body training is the beginning of seeking movement from stillness. When through the exercise of movements and routines, "up and down follow each other", the inside and outside are integrated, the whole body is intact, and the bright energy is well played. When the exercise is intense, it will be "both rigid and flexible." At this time, the standing posture should be improved, and it is necessary to "realize spirituality first" and use "the spirit of God is in harmony with the abdomen, moving the whole body, taking care of it and feeling it." This is the profound accomplishment that Saint Gong Zhuang finally sought from "movement in silence" to "movement in silence". In this position, he will "respond everywhere, all the time, without thinking", and then he will get the wonderful situation of "no intention, no intention to be true". This is also the ladder that Mr. Shang Yunxiang pointed out for us, that is, both internal and external training, paying equal attention to both body and function, and marching up.
Second, inherit the specialty of "struggling" and embody the technique of "kicking seven points"
As the saying goes, "If you don't lose your kick, you should poke the news with your back foot, and you have the courage to make friends, and your intention is like the wind", "If you earn beans, you will plow your toes on Friday" and "If you kick seven, you will break up and hit three". These punches are more important than the essence, and the outstanding thing is that they require the strength to practice one step before kicking. This is not only the rapid and far-reaching feature of Xingyiquan, but also the stunt of plowing and uprooting. Few people know this technique, and even misinterpret the above-mentioned boxing classics and lose the true meaning. The so-called "mind-wandering like the wind" is to turn the "strength" of the previous step into a strong wind, which is both fierce and fast. "Farming" is to train "Jin Tan" to be as vigorous as an iron plow and rise from the ground. The "kick" played in the previous step can be so powerful and rapid, and it is naturally much more powerful than the hand when used in martial arts, so there is the formulation and requirement of "kicking seven times and scattering three strikes". What Mr. Shang practiced and taught in his later years emphasized the need to practice "hard work" in the first few steps, which played an inheritance and development role in the physical and mental stunts. Zhi's achievement is a far-reaching "painful foot". In turn, it squeezed the real strength of "playing seven points".
Third, the action is flexible.
Xingyiquan's hands emphasize "don't leave the ribs with elbows and don't be eccentric", which is one of the main methods of Xingyiquan, and it is to protect the heart and ribs with upper limbs; But it is also the main energy-saving action in playing, which makes the arm strong and the body can be made by arm strength. Waist urges shoulders, shoulders urges elbows, and elbows urges hands. The power of "three promotion" can be accumulated and developed, which plays a multiplier role. Holding the head under the forehead in the forearm is not only a "support" to protect the head and chest, but also a "hit" that plays a role in twisting and falling, and holds the hair with strength. It's a combination of play and care. On the strength of the shot, it is emphasized that "the horizontal is not horizontal, and the fall is not smooth." The word "horizontal" in "starting from horizontal but not horizontal" is gu, which contains the strength of momentum when used and can be used for "fighting" The word "Shun" in "Surrender to Shun but Not Smooth" is "Beat", which has the power of "crossing Li" when used, and can be used for "Gu" whenever you see it. In sports, martial arts movements can keep the whole body relaxed, natural, effortless and without any effort, so that the technology will not stagnate and be flexible. Only when the limbs are stretched and the whole body is smooth can we practice the movements well and find the unique skills that each movement should have. Even practice, find strength, and move forward to the advanced stage. On the basis of Gong Zhuang's practice of "stretching tendons and pulling bones", if you can stretch it again when practicing movements, you will naturally be able to use it freely, from soft to solid, and then lengthen it to make it go further. The so-called "development first, then integration" is precisely to lay a good foundation for the transformation from rigidity to flexibility. Xingyiquan requires the whole body and limbs to relax when doing the action, but it should conform to the law everywhere, be full of energy, be full of energy, be restrained everywhere, and return to the abdomen, so as to make the action flexible, heavy and powerful and gain motivation. At this point, for what. Not sure what to do in the field, or just look with your fists. I don't know how to advance and retreat, I don't know how to rise and fall. The difference between one thought can make progress, but the difference between one thought can't linger on ","shake three times and turn two times when you meet people "and so on. Fine arts require self-sufficiency in flexibility, and skills are the same, so you can't go anywhere.
Fourth, the momentum is rapid and firm, which embodies the technique of "the lighter will fall with one blow"
The most obvious feature of form and meaning is that it is quick and firm in action and motivation. Therefore, colleagues said, "If you can't practice fast and firm explosive power, you can't say that you have practiced." When Mr. Shang Yunxiang was in his 70 s, he also said, "If I have another 30 years for my birthday, I will call it for another 30 years." . Unfortunately, not many people really understand the meaning of this sentence. But this is an indestructible fact. Mr. Wang specializes in form and meaning, tempering life and getting it from practice, which is an unusual summary of experience. Most people know that Mr. Wang has high expectations and is not afraid of violence. There are many things in his life, even countless, so he is famous in the Wulin. However, people seldom know that Mr. Wang is a short and weak person. Mr. Wang once thought that Mr. Shang was not martial arts material, so he joined the army from the beginning, but Mr. Li refused to take him in. This is how Mr. Shang learned from his poor conditions and gained true knowledge. What Mr. Shang said is actually his own experience and his own spur, which is by no means an armchair strategist. We have to admit that its practical value is huge and valuable. Because the basis of confronting the enemy with strength in form and intention is stress. Fight hard and enter hard. Mr. Shang's "hard hitting" means that no matter whether the other party is moving or static, whether it is moving or static, the other party is just soft, just hitting, soft hitting, not borrowing sex, not borrowing other forces, covering, blocking and hitting, and sending it at the touch. This is called "playing hardball" and it really has the ability to make moves. If you want to do this, you must be strong. No effort, no effort, completely from the rigidity of natural harmony. Only by training your strength quickly and firmly can you achieve it. It is too slow to rise like the wind, and it is too slow to fall. "It's too slow to rise like an arrow and fall like the wind, and it's not easy to chase the wind and the moon." Only in this way can the inner strength be gradually filled, played well and put down, and the situation is like thunder. With this sudden, rapid and solid explosive power, you gain the ability to work hard and stick to it without external help. Only with it can the true power of form and meaning be reflected, and the technical requirements of lighters must be followed when lighting. Therefore, although Mr. Shang has stepped into the superb position of softening people, he is still constantly enriching his true strength and constantly cultivating his own strength. The same is true for teaching people, forming a vigorous, rapid and firm style of form and meaning. Although some masters master and are good at using the wave-breaking force, which belongs to the nature of dark (soft) force and is immersed in longitudinal force, they still practice both rigidity and softness, and sometimes they look for softness. As long as this is done, they feel complementary. This has become a fashion in the door, otherwise it will be like not being addicted, otherwise it will not last long. Bottom line: "If you can't practice fast and hard, you won't have the strength to' let go if you want to fight' when you get to the other side." Is that really the case? People who know will get a clear answer through their own practice.
Fifth, the inner strength is full, urging the "three quarters" to surprise the "four tips."
The inner strength of practicing Xingyiquan is said to be "returning to nature". Because of the action, we should relax, be harmonious and let nature take its course. If you don't work hard, you don't work hard the day after tomorrow, adjust your body from the virtual nature, integrate the strength scattered outside the body, together with the spirit and qi scattered outside the body, be absorbed into the abdomen according to the rules of boxing, blend with the innate qi, and become a harmonious whole, from micro to micro, gradually enriched, and transported to the whole body in harmony and detail. With its application, it is everywhere and ever-present, which will form the inner strength of the unity of form and spirit and the use of one source. In the current words, it is to make the limbs follow each other up and down, and the heart, qi and force are integrated into the abdomen, which can transport the whole body and gradually form the integration of inside and outside. This is the inner strength of the body and body. Judging from the three-step kung fu of Xingyiquan, it is impossible to cultivate internal strength without a good foundation and incomplete rigidity. In application, the waist is the main body, and it is spiritual and mysterious. Teacher Shang is a Xingyiquan coach, so the emphasis is on practicing and finding strength. What he practices is the unity of form and spirit, and what he is looking for is to use the real power of a source. Don't talk about form, don't talk about tricks, just talk about finding strength, so training comes from the integrity of form and spirit and the fullness of inner strength.
Both form and spirit, full of internal strength, can not be separated from the strict grasp and application of "three knots" and "four tips" Jing Yun:. You can't see the third paragraph of the clock, but you can't if you see it. "Speaking of the' three sections', everyone knows that the trunk, arms and legs are everywhere. The shoulders, elbows and hands of the arm, and the hips, knees and feet of the leg are divided into three parts: the root and the tip. If these three sections are combined into one, and the waist is dominant, the whole body can be integrated and integrated. If it is divided into three parts, each has its own division of labor and does its own job. So-called. The three sections of boxing are invisible, and it is by no means that the fist is broken and then used again, and the elbow is interrupted and then used again. This is a skill competition as well as a form competition. We should use the three urging forces of "waist urging shoulders, shoulders urging elbows and elbows urging hands". When the hand is cut off, the shoulders and elbows still urge them to hit hard at the cut. Such a change in strength will make the hand "invisible" and "I don't know if it will be invisible if it is hit". This is the secret of "one punch and three segments are invisible" that we pursue. Meaning, qi and strength are integrated into the abdomen, and the "three sections" are transported. Under the control of this technique, the three natural segments are merged one after another, and all the "three segments" can be like this. Natural body shape and strength are integrated into a whole, and internal strength will be gradually supplemented.
When it comes to "four tips", that is, hair is the tip of blood, nails are the tip of tendons, teeth are the tip of bones, and tongue is the tip of flesh. The launch of the four tips, which is called "starting", shows that it mainly depends on the role of mental stimulation. That is to say, "meaning is felt, and what God has given is also completed". As the saying goes, "anger rushes to the crown, and the blood wheel turns rapidly." The tongue is rolling down, although the mountain is shaking, the tiger is fierce and the eagle is fierce, and the claws are the front. Courage lies in the bones and teeth are broken. These statements all illustrate the spiritual power of the "four tips". If you usually exercise, you can always care. Wherever God wants to go, you go, you go. Through the top of the head, the tip of the tongue, the tooth buckle and the finger buckle, it will increase its prestige. If this method is applied to the attack, it will greatly increase the courage to destroy the enemy. Teacher Shang's coach emphasizes the use of "spirit" in form and meaning, so as to arouse the spirit of "four points" and mobilize the "spirit" of the internal five elements, which is combined with form and strength to form the characteristics of complete form and spirit and full strength inside. Sixth, catch the eagle alone and play the special role of chopping boxing.
The first time I practiced boxing, I drilled a fist and turned my palm to form a three-body fist. People call it "split boxing", and Mr. Shang calls it "eagle catching" It makes sense to call it that.
1. It's a palm, not a fist, so you can't call it a fist.
2. "The shape of split boxing belongs to gold" is the conclusion of boxing classics. It is both a palm and a palm, and there is no shape of an axe at all, let alone the strength of an axe. The splitting force that does not meet the requirements of boxing classics at all means it is not splitting boxing.
3. According to the cloud: "If you go out of your territory, you can catch it with an eagle." Since it is pointed out that the initial action is to catch an eagle, and it is used in the beginning of the five elements and twelve forms, it should be called "catching an eagle". Speaking of this boxing method, it is very common, and anyone can practice shape and meaning, but it is not easy to practice, and there is even a taste that can't be realized in a lifetime. Why? Broadly speaking, the five elements and twelve shapes, a kind of boxing has a kind of strength, and even a kind of boxing contains several kinds of strength. The unique form and significance, the most fundamental strength, lies in the ups and downs, obsessing. So in the boxing classics, I talked a lot about the techniques of going up and down and practicing. Even put forward the warning of "I don't know the ups and downs". Explain the importance of "ups and downs" in the skill of form and meaning. If "ups and downs" are simply understood as the ups and downs of actions, it is all wet. The essence of the rise and fall of Xingyiquan is reflected in "rubbing strength", and few people call it "turning strength". And "Eagle Grabbing" is the basic boxing to practice this special power, so it is called "Xingyi Boxing Mother Boxing". As the saying goes, "drill when you get up, turn over when you fall", get up and go, and make waves when you fall. Without understanding the rise and fall of "eagle catching", we can't understand the true meaning of form and meaning. As Mr. Shang said: "I don't know the ups and downs, but I am stupid!" I can only be healthy, but I can't understand the point. "This is indeed the secret of opening the form and meaning, and it is a good word to inspire and inspire later learning. Therefore, The Eagle Catching is regarded as the key to unlock the mystery of form and meaning, and the key for masculinity to step into femininity, master the technique of combining rigidity with softness, and persist in exerting force vertically. So I study hard. It is precisely because outside five elements boxing, there is a kind of boxing called "Eagle Catch" more than other kinds of boxing that we pay special attention to. It is said that "eagle catching" is one of the characteristics of form and meaning.
As the saying goes: "The shape of the split fist belongs to gold, which leads to the lungs inside and the nose outside." The split boxing taught by Mr. Shang is basically the same as catching an eagle, except that the palm is turned into a fist. Although this shape has changed from a palm to a fist, there is not much difference. But when it comes to the application of meaning and force, it becomes two completely different connotations. "Eagle Grab" turned its palm over and drilled it to give full play to its "rubbing strength". Fist-splitting is the forearm used to be the blade of an axe, and the way of drilling is like cutting in front of an axe. Obviously, there is a clear difference between the two. What is particularly commendable is that the focus of chopping boxing is not on the joints of the elbow, but on the forearm between the two joints. This is not only the head, shoulders, elbows, hands, hips, knees and feet, but also an extra punch. Moreover, it is a martial arts technical exercise that transcends hitting people with articular processes and has a special role in technology.
Seven, some statements and practices are different from the general.
In addition to the above-mentioned "catching the eagle" and splitting boxing, there are some movements and theories that are different from the general ones, but compared with the boxing classics, they are still very reasonable. The following excerpts are for readers' study and reference.
(a) the order of five elements boxing. People practice five elements boxing, mostly according to the order of Jin Mu's fire, water and soil, forming a split, collapse, drill, cannon and cross. Mr. Shang said, "When you talk about the five elements, you have to talk about restraint. The purpose of practicing five elements boxing is to cure diseases, keep fit, change temperament and improve skills, so we must practice it according to the principle of coexistence of five elements. That is, according to the principle of "Golden Water, aquatic wood, Wood Fires, Fire Grows Earth", practice in the order of chopping, drilling, collapsing, blasting and crossing. As far as Chinese medicine is concerned, following the five elements is good for the health. As far as acrobatics is concerned, both internal and external training is more conducive to physical use. In short, whether practicing boxing or treating diseases, we should do it according to the five elements. Otherwise, once the drilling and caving order is reversed, problems will occur. Because, splitting belongs to gold, collapsing belongs to wood, and practicing together to form Jin Kemu; Drill belongs to water, gun belongs to fire, forming fire and water. Instead of complementing each other, they promote each other. It is unreasonable to talk about the five elements, but it violates the law of birth and grams. Of course, the effect is not ideal. "
Speaking of China's theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements, it is simple materialism, which is well known abroad. Moreover, Chinese medicine treats diseases according to the theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements, which is especially well known to Chinese people abroad. China Wushu should go to the world, and Xingyiquan has long been known and practiced by foreign Wushu lovers. In modern people's teaching or works, it is often said that the five elements produce grams, what a fist of the five elements belongs to, and which part of the five internal organs is well practiced. But the order of practice is wrong, and the reason doesn't make sense. In the future, foreigners will investigate the truth about five elements boxing's fitness and health preservation. We can't justify it, and it's not good to correct it. This should not prevent the face from being affected by any vanity.
(2) Diamond Boxing belongs to one of five elements boxing. Generally speaking, there are two kinds of sports (mainly the difference in hands). One is that the front fist only turns inward and shrinks to the front of the abdomen, and the back fist drills from the front of the mouth to the front fist. The two fists are so alternating. The other is that the fist changes to the palm first, and when the fist is drilled from the top, the fist turns inward and withdraws to the front of the abdomen. These two exercises are not taught by the monk teacher.
As the saying goes, "the shape of drilling fist belongs to water, which connects the kidney inside and reaches the ear outside." There is no doubt that pictographic meaning is needed. When we say that drilling is like electricity, we don't mean speed, but image. In ancient times, electricity meant lightning in a thunderstorm, so it was also called "like lightning". In other words, the drill fist has a "flash" shape in action. To say that it is "in the kidney" is to help the kidney and waist. In the drill fist taught by Mr. Shang, step forward and step back half a step, and at the same time, the forehand fist returns to the chest. When the forehand steps forward, at the same time, continue to shake the hooked palm to the upper side of the body to form a palm. When the back fist penetrates through the chest from the front of the mouth to the front palm, the forehand palm synchronously changes the fist to buckle down to the navel, and the fist heart is upward. The forehand of this training method changes hands, and then hooks back to the chest until it swings forward and upward. This coherent movement not only has the power of waving arms and shaking the waist, but also has the function of "like lightning" and activating the waist and helping the kidney, as well as the unique internal wrapping power, which meets the requirements of boxing.
(3) Fishy boxing belongs to one of the twelve forms of boxing. In fact, "catfish" is a crocodile, not the cleverest in the aquarium, but just as stupid as it. It swims instead of floating, but it is in the water, and only the upper part of its head and back is out of the water. It swims straight ahead. Its claws are palm-shaped, not light But in the old spectrum, "Yuta" means "scissors stock", also called "sesame oil", and some are called "oil sellers". In the animal kingdom, it is called "water tourists" and transliterated as "silver reed". That is to say, it is called "water tourist", which shows that it really has the essence of floating on water. What we want to learn is fish, not the fierce Chinese crocodile "catfish". Mr. Shang also said: fish is grayish brown, less than an inch long, and has six pairs of slender legs, which are common on the stagnant water surface after rain. It floats on the water, moving lightly and quickly, and moving in a left-right curve. "Catfish" is nothing like "Yuta". According to the boxing classics, you should learn the essence of floating water, not ferocity. What we actually practice is to move forward from left to right, not in a straight line; When practicing fish boxing, the hand shape is only that the thumb and forefinger are extended, and the other three fingers are curled, which is obviously like the claws of insects, not like the claws of crocodiles. From the above points, we should learn from fish instead of catfish. Explain that what the business teacher said and taught was correct. The homonym of "Yuta" and "Catfish" is swimming and fierceness, so people think it is to learn from it and write "Catfish". If we really want to imitate its shape, take its meaning and learn its skills, it will greatly violate the boxing classics, and the meaning of the action will be even more inconsistent and further away from it. Teacher Shang's unique fax error-making ability is also a good thing for Xingyiquan.

But there is no word "birdhouse" in modern dictionaries. Mr. Shang said: "Bird platform, also known as stork", is a kind of young eagle, also known as "bald-tailed eagle". Its tail is very short, and hunters often use birds to grind their claws, especially to catch rabbits. The Boxing Classic points out that "the bird platform has the ability to hang its tail" because people don't know its content, nature and why it has the ability to hang its tail. Therefore, some books and articles either follow the same pattern, or speculate, or even doubt or deny "the ability to have a vertical tail." Mr. Shang made it clear: "Wild 4t often stands on high branches, often head-down, in order to peek at sly or wild birds, so as to find them in time and catch them quickly. This is a feature that other animals don't have, so we have to learn its vertical tail ability. "
Some books and articles write "bird platform" as "horse platform", which is wrong. Because Matai is a bad horse. There is already a horse shape in the twelve shapes. Learning it has the power of "hooves". Now that you have learned to run a horse, of course you won't learn to be a bad horse again. In some writings or dictation, because I don't know what "bird platform" is, some people write it as "pigeon", which is of course wrong. Others described it as "a legendary ostrich-like animal." If it is really similar to an ostrich, it can only go well, and there is no "ability to lift vertically" and "power to take things down", so it is almost a misunderstanding to say that it is similar to an ostrich. Some people also wrote books to write the shape of the "bird platform" into the shape of a stork. Although the word "bird platform" can't be found in modern dictionaries, and "rabbit stork" is called "bird platform" and written as "stork shape", it is not consistent with the traditional name of the twelve shapes, so it is not appropriate. These mistakes should be clarified and understood.
As for the techniques and motives of bird platform modeling, there are more speculations. It is necessary to learn the vertical tail ability of the birdhouse to move forward and upward, so the so-called' power to smash things' can be practiced and used, but it is not the specialty of this shape unless it is pointed out by the boxing classics. " As the saying goes, "like a strong bow, the five elements are combined and each shows its ability." This action of hitting the ribs and abdomen is really the source of bird-shaped strength.
But in the boxing classics, it has been said that the head, shoulders, elbows, hands, hips, knees and feet are seven fists, also called "seven stars" and "seven lewdness". However, some people wrote: "For the seven wise men, that is, head, shoulders, elbows, hands, hips, knees and feet, fourteen uses are the essence of boxing." This statement that people's heads are listed as even numbers is unreasonable and of course wrong. Moreover, the so-called "fourteen uses" refers to the "fourteen styles of play" mentioned in the Boxing Classics, that is, thirteen places around the seven fists, plus the buttocks and tails, that is, the so-called "fourteen styles of play up and down, all of which can not escape the spirit of the abdomen". But in fact, it still missed the "hit the ribs" and became the stunt of Guo monk Yunyang. If you add more, the essence should be called "the above fifteen kinds of playing methods, all of which are not out of the belly." It is because of the "rib belly" that people don't know, and because of the vertical tail, some misunderstandings have arisen. In fact, in the performance of the action, two arms are used instead of the tail, so that the two arms are tied with tendons and wrapped into a whole, such as the shape of the tail, pushing forward and supporting upward. This is the strength of the vertical tail of the bird-learning platform. The tail of the aviary is relatively short, so the arm for practicing aviary shape is also relatively short. The magic sword fist is short, but because it is directly exerted by the abdomen and with the help of the beating power of the abdomen, the attack power is also great. Usually when using a bird-shaped platform, it is easy to cut off the air and hurt people by attacking each other's abdomen with fists. Therefore, in general use, the fist often turns into a palm, which is called "covering the hand". It is easy to control the other side without hurting people, so it is often used by the predecessors of the form and meaning. Once you touch the other person's abdomen, you will exert yourself, which will make the other person unable to stand and leave his feet off the ground. Although you work hard, you won't hurt anyone. This is the secret of Mr. Shang's "vertical tail ability", which is extraordinary. Although there are differences between the branches of Xingyiquan, they are basically the same, or each has its own strengths. Few people know its form and meaning, especially what Mr. Shang taught in his later years, and there are many differences. Grasping the characteristics of this book is helpful for readers to learn from it and to carry forward his Tao.
