Based on michael lewis's "Weakness: The Process of the Game", this film tells the extraordinary experience of michael oher, the first draft player in the National Football League in 2009. He used to be an orphan. Before engaging in sports, he became autistic and silent because of the influence of street gangs and drug-addicted mothers. Later, he felt the warmth of the family in the adoptive family and was recognized by the school and others through his own efforts. He finally won a scholarship from the University of Michigan and entered the NFL after graduation.
