Introduction to Dengfeng City Dengfeng City is located in the central and western parts of Henan Province, at the southern foot of Songshan Mountain in Zhongyue. The city boundary is 56 kilometers long from east to west and 35.5 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 1.220 square kilometers, including 560,000 mu of cultivated land, governing 7 towns, 7 townships, 2 industrial zones 1 office and 1 ethnic group. The terrain is mainly mountainous and hilly, and it belongs to temperate continental climate. Dengfeng is a famous historical and cultural city at the provincial level, and it is also a famous "hometown of cultural relics" and "hometown of martial arts" in China. Dengfeng has a long history. According to historical records, China's first slave country, the Xia Dynasty, first established its capital in Yangcheng (now Gaocheng Town). Liu Che, the emperor of the Western Han Dynasty, visited Lushan Mountain and formally established a lofty county. The Sui Dynasty was changed to Songyang County. In 696 AD, Wu Zetian climbed Songshan Mountain and sealed Zhongyue Mountain, which was a great success. Songyang County was changed to Dengfeng County, and Yangcheng County was changed to Gaocheng County. The Jin Dynasty merged the two counties into Dengfeng County. 1On May 30th, 994, Dengfeng County was approved by the State Council to withdraw from the county and set up a city.
