According to the five levels of demand, five consumer markets can be divided:
Physiological needs → the market that meets the lowest level needs, that is, the most basic food, clothing, housing and transportation;
Security needs → meet the requirements of a "safe" market, so it can be understood as the current health care products, fitness and so on.
Social needs → meet the market that needs "communication", such as western food, restaurants, foot baths, etc.
Respect demand → meet the market with distinct requirements for products, such as luxury goods;
Self-realization → meeting the market that has its own judgment standards for products, such as "right", "identity" and "status".
The importance of Maslow's theory: Maslow's hierarchy of needs is one of the best theories to discuss the dynamic structure of human psychology. The hierarchy of needs theory puts the state of demand satisfaction in the basic position. The state that needs are met means that we live in this world, and at this moment we are in a state of being first. This state determines our relationship with the world. Demand and the satisfaction of demand are the most basic activities of human beings, which affect all human activities, including all activities of understanding feelings.
Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory is one of the theories of humanities, which was put forward by American psychologist Abraham Maslow in his paper "Theory of Human Motivation" 1943. The book divides people's needs from low to high like a ladder into five levels, namely: physiological needs, security needs, social needs, respect needs and self-realization needs.
