Enteromorpha is a kind of Ulva in Chlorophyta. The algae body is upright, tubular and hollow, or at least hollow at the handle and edge of the algae body, and the tubular part is composed of monolayer cells. Algae are single or branched, cylindrical and sometimes partially compressed. The cells at the base of algae produce false root filaments and form fixators downward. Each cell has 1 nucleus, 1 lamellar chloroplast, and usually 1 protein nucleus or more. In the process of vegetative propagation, algae divide to form new algae. Asexual reproduction is the formation of swimming spores with four flagella at the top. Sexual reproduction is homogamy or heterogamy. There are about 40 species and about 1 1 species in China. Most kinds of marine products are widely distributed in the oceans all over the world, and some kinds can be found in salt water or rivers. It often grows on rocks or swamps in the intertidal zone, or on gravel in mudflats, and sometimes it can attach to algae bodies of large algae. The common species in China are Enteromorpha prolifera, Enteromorpha prolifera, Enteromorpha oblata and Enteromorpha prolifera. Enteromorpha can be eaten. Enteromorpha prolifera is used as seasoning and food in southern Fujian. Enteromorpha prolifera is called "moss strip" in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, which is a common food in the market.
