Most people have a regular gym before they want to find a personal trainer. After a period of fitness, I want to improve myself even more, so I want to try personal training. Once you have this idea, remember not to rush to find a tutor, but to observe it silently for two months, because there is no upfront cost at this stage. Observation indicators are as follows:
1) Who are the coaches who take people in the time periods you often go to? These people are basically your options. The rest is either not available at this time, or there are no customers at all. You don't want either.
2) The intensity of each coach and member's training together. However, if you go to the gym three or more times a week, if you see a coach who always takes people to train, then he is undoubtedly the most popular, at least in your time. If a coach often stands at the front desk or in various inexplicable places to chat with colleagues or members, it is obviously unwelcome.
3) The degree of concentration when the coach takes the players to train. Those who don't observe the movements and fatigue of the members, but just have empty eyes or play with mobile phones, will be out immediately. I didn't pay you to stand next to me and play with your mobile phone. Are you kidding?
4) After making a preliminary plan (such as having one or two coaches as an alternative), try to ask him one or two questions, such as how to use this equipment. Because you don't pay him this time, if he teaches you patiently, you will get extra points. If he talks endlessly, and then he says he wants you to buy his private lessons, you will lose points. Personally, I hate the attitude of being born with sales and deceiving you into not paying.
The result of the first step is that you find a personal tutor who scores in all aspects and finally wins comprehensively, and decide to start a try with him. Attention, please cross out the face value when grading. If you are too handsome, you may even consider lowering your score accordingly, because your judgment is likely to have been biased (please punish yourself in the comments section).
The second step is to buy the least class hours from him/her according to the personal education investigated in the first step, and then start training+further observation.
First of all, don't be confused by the promotion method of 20% discount for five classes and 60% discount for ten classes. This theory of how cheap to buy is universal all over the world. You can negotiate with any supplier and give you a quantity discount. Besides, you have two classes, and you don't like them. The rest are sunk costs. Moreover, buying the minimum number of classes is not healthy at all. On the contrary, this is a very reasonable approach. Private education and members need to adapt to each other. If you feel better, you can buy it later. Finally, the coach's impatience can be seen from the attitude of buying classes-if you ask him to buy more, he will regard you as a cash cow.
During the first training, the following criteria can be used for observation:
1) Be sure to give you the first measurement, including weight, size and body fat.
2) Be sure to ask about your training objectives-if you don't come at all, you will be out immediately. There is a simple reason. Everyone's goal is different from what they want to improve. The most basic thing is not the same as reducing fat and increasing muscle. What do you mean, come up? I began to use private tutoring for the wedding in April this year last summer. My personal tutor asked me what my goal was in the first class, and I said it would look good to wear a skirt at the wedding. Then he asked what your skirt was like and where it would be displayed, and gave me several kinds of wedding dresses. I was shocked at that time. Even my husband doesn't know what a wedding dress is like! This is enough to show that he has trained more than one bride-to-be, and he has done enough homework to understand the types of wedding dresses.
3) Provide you with the goal of the first stage and the goal of the next measurement day before starting training. For example, on the afternoon of May 5th, the goal is to lose 2% body fat or something.
4) During class, don't be distracted, don't look at your mobile phone, and try not to chat with other members or colleagues. This step 1 has already been mentioned. Correct demonstration should focus on you and correct your actions from time to time.
5) Ask yourself how you feel after each set of actions, especially the action group. For example, if you do several movements in a row, he can at least ask you which part of your body is tired faster, so that you can know which part of your strength is weak.
6) You can adjust it according to your body's needs-for example, my knee hurts easily when I do heavy squats. I will respond to the personal trainer in time, and he will quickly change an action for me, instead of saying, I have nothing to do, so who will be responsible for me going to the hospital?
7) Always ask about your diet records. As we all know, if a tutor doesn't care about what you eat at all, it will be difficult to help you achieve results.
8) Leave homework appropriately. Suppose you train with a personal trainer twice a week and come to the gym three times by yourself, then the personal trainer should give clear instructions on what to practice, what moves to review and how many groups to do for the remaining three times, just like the teacher leaves homework.
9) Finally, add an extra requirement: amazing memory. Every afternoon and evening, my personal tutor will take people to the gym for training. Wave and nod when you see an acquaintance, and then continue to guide the students. But with this nod, he can remember the frequency of everyone in the gym this week. When I go to practice on Friday, he will ask you why you didn't come on Wednesday. Your husband is here, but he met all of you on Thursday. What did you practice? My big brother, I was wrong.
