Concept and characteristics of core literacy of physical education discipline

Subject core literacy is a new concept put forward by the new curriculum standard in China. It is the most basic and important accomplishment formed by students through course learning, and it is the synthesis of basic knowledge, basic skills, basic quality and basic experience with subject characteristics formed by students in course learning and practical activities. Discipline core literacy is the concretization of core literacy in a specific discipline (or research field), which is formed after students study a discipline (or research field), is the key achievement with discipline characteristics, and is the concentrated embodiment of discipline education value. Sports core literacy refers to independent fitness, and its core competence mainly includes sports cognitive ability, fitness practice ability and social adaptability. Sports core literacy is the integration of knowledge and skills, process and method, emotional attitude and values, and it is the core value pursuit of students' development literacy. Sports cognitive ability refers to the ability of students to acquire, transform and evaluate sports fitness knowledge, sports skills and related health knowledge. Having activities such as thinking, understanding and perception is the premise of independent fitness. Fitness practice ability refers to the decision-making ability of students to consciously participate in, strengthen exercise, apply competition and keep fit in order to complete the set physical exercise tasks, accompanied by activities such as motivation, attitude and value orientation, which is the carrier of independent fitness. Social adaptability refers to students' adjustment ability in physiology, psychology and interpersonal communication in the changeable fitness environment. Accompanied by activities such as adjustment, adaptation and control, it is the result of independent fitness. The core quality of physical education is the basis and direction to determine the physical education curriculum standard, knowledge system and quality evaluation standard. The formation of sports core literacy is based on the structured subject knowledge and skill system.
