Members can give a certain amount of solatium when they get married and have children. When a trade union member is hospitalized or dies, a certain amount of solatium can be given. A certain number of souvenirs can be distributed after retirement.
Trade union funds can be used for subsidies for improving the quality of workers organized by grass-roots trade unions, awards for outstanding students in workers' education and training, awards for winners of cultural and sports activities organized by grass-roots trade unions, subsidies for the treatment and rest of model workers and advanced workers, and expenditures incurred in providing financial and material assistance to workers in need.
Extended Information Article 76 of the Labor Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that the employer shall create conditions to improve the collective welfare and the welfare treatment of workers.
