Dongshan Middle School (No.1 Middle School of Original Mine) is located in the political and cultural center of Huainan City, with superior geographical position, Shungeng in the south and Dongshan Road in the north. The school's predecessor was 1948, a primary school attached to Anhui Institute of Technology (now the predecessor of Hefei University of Technology and Anhui University of Technology). 1959 was named "Dongshan No.1 Primary School" and 1976 was renamed "Huainan No.1 Middle School".
