Xingyiquan Xingyiquan is one of the three famous internal boxing (Xingyiquan, Taiji and Bagua) in China, ranking among the four famous boxing in China. However, the style of Xingyiquan is hard-hitting and hard-advancing, such as lightning and thunder, which is unique in family boxing.
Xingyiquan originated from Taigu, Shanxi. Shanxi Xingyiquan is characterized by exquisite skills, loose and tight form, eclectic appearance and changeable play. The twelve forms of form and meaning emphasize the offensive skills of exotic animals, and the five elements emphasize the connotations of gold, wood, water, fire and earth.
In the early Qing Dynasty, Xingyiquan was widely spread in Shanxi, Henan, Hebei and other places, and famous artists came forth in large numbers in the past hundred years. 19 14, Hao Enguang went to Japan to teach students studying in Japan, so he introduced Xingyiquan abroad. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Xingyiquan was listed as a national martial arts performance and competition, which was carried out all over the country. In addition, Xingyiquan is practiced in Southeast Asia, Japan and the United States, and there are special organizations and publications.
Xingyiquan takes five elements boxing (chop, jump, drill, cannon and cross) and twelve-shaped boxing (dragon, tiger, monkey, horse, chicken, owl, swallow, snake, snake, eagle and bear) as the basic boxing methods, and its pile method is based on three-body style. In some areas of Shanxi, "standing on the abdomen" and "six-in-one" are the basic pile methods. Other single-training routines include five-element serial, miscellaneous hammer, stereotyped boxing, four-handed boxing, twelve-flood hammer, entering and leaving the hole, five-element mutual hair, Long Hudou, eight-character kung fu, upper, middle and lower hands. There are three pistols, five flower guns, anesthesia guns and nine collars in the training routine. The practice of instruments is mainly based on knives, guns, swords and sticks, and most of them are named after Sanhe, Liuhe, Lianhuan and Sancai. Xingyiquan, which is popular in Henan, is often called "Mind Boxing". The basic boxing methods are ten styles (dragon, tiger, chicken, eagle, snake, horse, cat, monkey, harrier and swallow) and four styles (head boxing, collar picking, eagle catching and hand sticking). There are chicken leg piles and eagle bear piles. There are Long Hudou, Eleven in One, Upper, Middle and Lower Four in single training routines. Xingyiquan, which is popular all over the country, has its own characteristics in style besides different technical contents. For example, Xingyiquan in Hebei province stretches steadily; Xingyiquan, which is popular in Shanxi, is compact and delicate. Psychological boxing in Henan province is brave and powerful.
