While removing water-blocking buildings and garbage and strengthening flood control facilities, they also built three-stage hydrophilic platforms according to the water level in different seasons: the first stage is 20 meters high and 10 meters wide; The secondary elevation is 25m, and the width is 30m ~ 50m；; The third horizontal elevation is 28.8m and the width is10m. It was built for the seasonal water levels in winter, spring, autumn and Xia San respectively. On the one hand, illegal buildings and water barriers on the floodplain were removed, which made the river smooth and was beneficial to flood control. On the other hand, citizens and tourists could enjoy the unique beauty of the riverside city in dry season and flood season.

The newly-built Wuhan River Beach not only has a large area of three-dimensional green belt, but also provides citizens with leisure space with riverside characteristics. At the same time, the new river beach has played three functions: urban landscape environment greening ecology, mass fitness and entertainment, and hydrophilic leisure activities. Wuhan people have a special liking for the Yangtze River, and they have forged an indissoluble bond with it. In the past, a high waterproof wall blocked the public's hydrophilic complex because of the need of flood control.
