In my eyes, Yantai Botanical Garden is a concentrated "Hundred Flowers Garden", which creates surprises in every corner from time to time. Walking in the park, there are green flowers and blooming flowers everywhere, and that kind of feeling can only be realized by personal experience. The Botanical Garden is divided into east and west areas by Laiyuan Road. Among them, the East District is mainly composed of four characteristic gardens, such as Fangfei River and Baihuadi, and landscapes such as garden roads and hiking trails. There are waterfront landscape areas, landscape greenhouses, Haitang Garden and muxi Garden in the west area.
The most distinctive ancient tree garden brings together many kinds of ancient trees over a hundred years, such as Pistacia chinensis, Gleditsia sinensis and papaya. Upon completion, the Botanical Garden will become a national first-class comprehensive botanical garden integrating plant viewing, leisure and entertainment, popular science education, flower display and festivals.
The total area of plum garden in Yantai Botanical Garden is about 12 mu, and there are nearly 100 plum trees in the garden. Plum blossom varieties are mainly apricot, which belongs to the natural hybrid variety of plum and apricot. They have large flower diameter, bright color and long flowering period, and have high ornamental value. The plum blossom in Yantai Botanical Garden will usher in the best viewing period in late March. The plum blossom in Xue Hai has a large area and a spectacular aroma.
Yantai Botanical Garden is located in Laishan, with a large area, fresh air and few scenic spots. Suitable for hiking or walking. There are many ancient trees in the park, and autumn scenery is pleasant. The Peony Garden and Begonia Garden in spring are worth seeing, but the deciduous old trees in autumn are quite different.
