Because of the postoperative requirements, considering the habits of giant pandas, "achievement" must be fasted within 7 days after operation, and all nutrition must be completely infused by vein and completed under general anesthesia. More seriously-

First, after the giant panda is awake from anesthesia, it may tear the abdominal suture at any time, resulting in the rupture of the abdominal suture and the failure of the operation;

Second, gastrostomy may face suture fistula, which leads to gastric juice leaking into abdominal cavity and peritonitis;

Third, gastroparesis after acute gastric dilatation may cause gastric reflux at any time, leading to aspiration pneumonia and respiratory asphyxia.

Any of the above situations may lead to serious consequences, even animal death, which poses a serious challenge to medical and nursing teams.

Despite the 24-hour rescue and meticulous care of the joint rescue team of Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base and Hangzhou Zoo, within 48 hours after the operation, the giant panda "successfully" had three very serious gastric regurgitations.

Although gastric reflux was successfully solved three times, the life alarm of "achievement" has not been lifted so far. It is difficult to judge whether there will be postoperative complications such as gastric incision suture fistula in the next time.
