1. Enter: Control Panel-System-Advanced-Environment Variables.
2. Click TEMP-Edit in the user variable to change the long content list to D:TEMP (if necessary, you can change it to another disk, but not the location of the system).
3. ditto, change TMP to D:TEMP. Because these things are the main internal factors that make your system disk expand rapidly, their properties are hidden and some friends can't find them:)
4. In System Variable, change TEMP and TMP to the above values.
5. Right-click my document-properties-target folder on the desktop, set the location of the target folder, change it to D: my document or D: my document (you decide which one you like), and then move it at will.
This is very important. In fact, when our computer crashes, there are generally nothing important in the system disk, but all the useful things are in my document, so I don't have to worry about anything when I move it to a new place. Also, quite a few friends will not back up my document content in DOS mode (because the folder name is very long, it will be more troublesome if it is in Chinese).
6. Right-click Internet Explorer-Properties-General-Temporary Internet File-Settings-Move Folder-Select D: Temporary Internet File (if not, you can create it first, of course, you can also use D:TEMP or something else, you have the final say)-OK.
7. System-Advanced-Performance-Settings-Advanced-Virtual Memory-Change-Select D or other non-system partitions-Customize the size-Enter the size m-set; Select C or the partition where the system is located-no paging file-Settings-OK to transfer the virtual memory to other hard disks.
Well, the world (system disk) is quiet:)
Note: I have adjusted the virtual memory, temp and tmp, but I changed it back when installing some software. If you change it, you must remember the original path. )
Second, lose weight for XP (if your hard disk is enough, you don't have to lose weight, because if you want to use one of the functions, there is no way.
1. Delete system file backup.
Sfc.exe/ Puji Cache
2. Delete the driver backup
Driver.cab file (73mb) in the directory of winodwsdriver cachei386.
3. Cancel the system restore (but remember to keep the system restore of the system disk. Turn it off if you don't want to use it. I'll keep it anyway:)
4. Delete the help file (minus 40 mb)
5. Delete the file under WINDOWSsystem32dllcache (minus 200-300mb), which is a spare dll file.
As long as you copy the installation file, you can do it completely.
6. Install the tool software on the system disk, and install the application software on other hard disks. Special reminder: your FOXMAIL, QQ and other things must not be installed in the system disk. Once the system is finished, you are finished:) (This is also good for reinstalling the system.
7. Delete the input method not used under winodwsime! (Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese Input Method, 84.5MB)
8. If you think you have the ability to handle some emergencies, then install xp with ntfs, which will save the hard disk itself. Don't pretend to be a hero or wait to cry.
Third, delete the annoying msn, winodws messenger.
Go to C:winodwsinf and open sysoc.inf
Look up msmsgs = msgrocm.dll, okentry, msmsgs.inf, hide, 7, delete hide.
Change to msmsgs = msgrocm.dll, ocentry, msmsgs.inf,, 7, and then save.
Go to Control Panel-Add Delete Program, and you will have the option to delete it.
Fourth, let Dr Watson, an incompetent doctor in China, be laid off.
The doctor looks at the computer and only tells you what the symptoms may be (I don't think he knows what the symptoms are), but he won't tell you what the disease is. The most important thing is that he will never meet you. What's the use of such a doctor? It's better to let him be laid off than to let me be laid off:)
In the "start"->; Enter "drwtsn32" command in "Run", or "Start"->; "program"->; "attachment"->; "system tools"->; "system information"->; "tools"->; "Dr. Watson", call out Dr. Watson in the system, and only keep the option of "Dump all thread contexts" (otherwise, once the program goes wrong, the hard disk will be read for a long time, occupying a lot of space. If this has happened before, please find the user.dmp file, which can save tens of MB of space after deletion).
Unload useless dynamic links.
Fifth, deleting the resource manager often leaves useless dynamic links in memory. In order to eliminate this phenomenon, you can open the registry editor and set the key value: HKEY _ local _ machine software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersionXplorer Always Sun LoadDLL = dword:1,and this function will be turned off. Restart the computer.
Sixth, small hard disk users are blessed, and friends with burners can do the gho version of XP.
First of all, when xp is newly installed, it is about 1.5G, and the default hibernation and virtual memory files account for 3 10m. If these two files are closed, it can be reduced to1.2g; Delete C: two compressed packages 80m in c:winodwsdllcab (which only play the role of not playing the system disk at a time) and reduce them to1.1g; I also deleted the 30m Japanese Japanese dictionary (I hate XXXXX), and deleted the unnecessary font in C: Winodwsfon (about 50m) as1g; Delete all the contents of c:winodwssystem32dllcab, which is a copy of dll 320m. You can safely delete it, so it is reduced to 680m m. There are other 250 million forgotten (a little much, Microsoft will be very unhappy when it knows), and interested friends can find it themselves. I heard that the minimum can be reduced to below 400 mm.
Be careful not to delete it wrong. This article is for reference only, please bear the consequences yourself.
Seventh, the software that completely slimmed down WINXP came out! ! You can uninstall any bundled component. Including IE. OUTLOOK, even Movie Maker, MSN and so on.
Here it is: XPlite
There are many download addresses, and here are two:
/soft/25033.htm
/php/s...MP; searchstr=XPlite
XPlite and 2000lite Professional are very powerful customization tools for Windows XP and Windows 2000 operating system modules. After the program runs, the system file protection function of Windows will be cancelled first, and then the software configuration in the current operating system will be automatically scanned. Then you are allowed to uninstall modules that cannot be deleted in the operating system at will, such as mobile phone wizard function, task planning function, Windows script host module, core font module, help and support center module, voice function module, ODBC database driver module, search assistant module, Windows tutorial, driver cache module, fax module, chat room module, network conference and telephone dialing module. The program * * * contains 9 categories and dozens of setting functions. Through this program, you can completely customize your own unique WindowsXP or 2000, and you can also make the simplest operating system with only core modules through optimization and selection, so that WindowsXP and 2000 can be completely slimmed down.
It is recommended to make a backup before use! ! ! (it's no use turning)
VIII. The transferee shall be deleted separately.
First, delete all original documents;
Second, delete the original desktop background;
Third, delete the original screensaver (only one is reserved);
Fourth, delete all original games;
Fifth, delete the * * * enjoyment file.
I deleted the above contents in safe mode as an administrator, and some of them still have key values in the registry. You can search and delete them. (Don't delete it wrong)
Nine, delete other useless files, it is recommended to use supercleaner.
X. file compression in X.NTFS partition
Windows XP provides file compression properties for NTFS partition files, which can effectively save disk space.
In the NTFS partition, select the file or folder to be compressed, right-click, select Properties from the shortcut menu, click Advanced on the General tab of the Properties dialog box, and select the "Compress content to save disk space" check box in the "Compression or encryption properties" column of the new dialog box. After confirmation, you will find that the disk space occupied by the file is greatly reduced.
