As an insightful Buddhist disciple, when he meets a strange "teacher", no matter how praised or criticized by others, he will abide by the principle of "don't praise or criticize". There is an iron law that can judge whether it is true or false, that is, if someone claims to be the reincarnation or incarnation of Buddha and Bodhisattva, it is 100% false. Because, if it is really the incarnation of Buddha and Bodhisattva, he will only do the work of measuring all beings silently, and will never deliberately expose his identity. Once his identity is exposed, he (incarnation) will soon disappear and generally leave this world (there will be no nostalgia for this world). The following text is excerpted from Shi Shengju's article "Liar and Humanization-Reflections Caused by a Fake" Magic Old Monk ". In the Mahayana Bodhisattva Road of Buddhism, it is common for Buddha and Bodhisattva to show different identities to talk about Buddha and save all beings, and it has nothing to do with lying or cheating. This is what Buddhism often says. For example, in The Theory of Great Wisdom, "Buddhism is not only the speaker of Buddhism. They are all true and kind words in the world. Subtle words are Buddhist. As the Buddha said. What is Buddhism? There are five kinds of people who speak Buddhism. A Buddha said it himself. Two Buddhist disciples said. Sanxian said. Four days. Five people said. "Liars lie to gain fame and fortune, while' remoulding people' shows different identities in order to make all beings believe in Buddhism, get rid of suffering and get rid of life and death. The most important principle of Buddhism is "not relying on people according to law". No matter whether he is a monk or at home, a heavenly king or Luo Cha, a real person or a reincarnation, as long as this person is really a sentient being, what he said can really benefit the public and make all beings believe in Buddhism, observe precepts and go deep into the scriptures. Speaking of "transforming people", the Buddha said this in the Shurangama Sutra. Four clear instructions: "After I die. Bodhisattva and arhat. Should be born in the last law. Make all kinds of shapes. Measure rotation. Or a shaman, a layman in white, a king, a butcher, a virgin. If so, even prostitutes and widows rape and steal butchers. With colleagues. Zanfo rides. Let his body and mind enter samadhi. "In this way, the Buddha and Bodhisattva are merciful and never give up on the suffering sentient beings in the last law period, showing the transformation of six sentient beings by various incarnations. The Classic of Analogy of French Sentences tells the story that the Buddha changed his various identities and humanized all beings at that time. For example, in impermanence, a beautiful lotus wants to become a monk. She saw her beauty in the water by the roadside and rekindled her compassion. The Buddha then turned into a beautiful woman ten million times better than Lotus Flower, and talked with her. Suddenly, the phantom beauty died of sleep, her body stinks and insects come out. Lianhua Hua was shocked by impermanence, that is, she went to the Buddhist temple. Another example is "More Smell". There are 500 robbers in Luoyue Mountain, who specialize in killing and robbing passers-by's property. The Buddha incarnates a rich family and passes through this mountain full of treasures. The robbers were glad that they had never been such a "fat sheep" to come to the door automatically for many years, so they surrounded him and raised his bow. Five hundred robbers begged for mercy with arrows. Fujia immediately became a Buddha, arguing that this 500 is reasonable. Another example is "believe it". When the Buddha walked to the river for more than 500 years, he lied to others. When the villagers heard the Buddhism, they didn't believe it, so the Buddha came from the other side of the river and walked on the water. The villagers were very scared. They asked Dharma why there was this spell and told him that it was taught by the Buddha. Everyone in a village believes in the great power of Buddha, and everyone believes in it. Another example is "Be careful". There are five Samanas on the mountain in Polonaise. Being a monk for many years, he had no time to enter the Tao, so the Buddha turned into a shaman to ask questions and reason, reappearing the Buddha's body, and all five shamans got the Lohan Tao in real time. For another example, in "Only Minds", the Buddha Ghaza shaved his head and became a Samana. He hasn't seen the Buddha, and he hasn't heard that his life is coming to an end, so he turned into a monk and went to the Taojiayao Cave where King Ghaza lived to explain his views and show that he is a Buddha. In "Go to Yipin", there is a Saman who has been a monk in the mountains for seven years and failed to get the Tao. When he saw that there was no treasure in the mountains, he became greedy and told his brother * * * to carry the treasure home and return to the secular world. On the way, he was asked by a Buddhist monk. When the shaman saw the monk, he painted thrush and hung a gold and silver necklace, which was to reprimand him. He asked the shaman again: Shaman was shocked and repented, and the Buddha got the Lohan Tao because of his words. In the movie, the Buddha first sent away one of the two passionate monks, and then the Buddha became this person, and invited the other monk to the prostitute village, where the Buddha became a prostitute, and the second monk * * * entered the prostitute's room and saw the figure of a woman, so the prostitute's breasts were bare and the stench was overflowing, and the magic monk was another monk, the beauty of a woman. Turning a monk into a Buddha's body, and another monk repents when he sees it, that is, Lohan. However, the monk who was sent away by the Buddha went back to his room to see the brilliance of his friends and companions and asked him why. He learned that the monk told the story of the Buddha's transformation truthfully, and the monk suddenly lost his mind. The most typical performance of Buddha and Bodhisattva is the universal performance of Guanyin Bodhisattva. As the cosmic product of Guanyin Bodhisattva said, "A good man, if he has all beings in the country, should take Buddha as his body, Guanyin Bodhisattva as his body and Buddha as his body, that is, take Buddha as his body. "It should be said that those strong people, such as Heaven, Dragon, Hag, Gan Yipo, Asura, Gruda, Kinnara and Mahoraga, are inhuman. It should be said that they are now, and they are holding the King Kong God." Guanyin (No.28), one of Ma Lang's wives in thirty-three guanyin, was named after her incarnation as selling The Mermaid and marrying Ma Lang. It is recorded in Fahua Yan Zhi and the Biography of Guanyin Bodhisattva that the ancient folk customs in Shaanxi were fierce and I didn't know there were three treasures. In the 12th year of Tang Yuanhe (AD 8 17), Guanyin became a beauty who sold fish in mountain tours, with many suitors. The beauty said, "If you want to get married, you can recite" Pumenpin "overnight, and you will get married." By dawn, twenty people must recite. The beauty added, "How can I marry so many people by myself? If I can recite the Diamond Sutra one night, I will marry them. " By dawn, more than ten people will have recited it. The beauty met Hokkekyo again, and after three days, only Ma Langquan with amazing memory recited it again. So the beauty married Ma Lang as promised. On the wedding day, before Hershey's guests dispersed, the fish girl suddenly died. Malang buried her in the golden beach. A few days later, an old monk came to see the horse and asked where the fish girl was. So Ma Lang took the old monk to the burial place, and the old monk and Zhang Xi opened a grave for autopsy, leaving only a pair of gold collarbones. The old monk said: This is the incarnation of Guanyin Bodhisattva, to enlighten you. "Say that finish with look around to stir up the collarbone and fly away, so that those people can not only get married with Buddhism, but also understand the illusion of the world. In the history of China, there are many examples in which Bodhisattvas turned people into people or it was difficult to save people. For example, Hanshan, known as the "Three Saints on the Roof" in the Tang Dynasty, and Feng Gan, a monk who picked up babies from the roadside in Tiantai Mountain National Temple, raised people in the National Temple, managed the work of boiling water in the kitchen, and put leftover food in bamboo tubes to support Hanshan every day. Hanshan lives in the moonlight cave in Tiantai Mountain and comes to Xiaoguo Temple to collect leftovers every day. Because they often talk and laugh together, leaving a lot of Zen poems, all the monks in the temple think they are crazy, so they ignore them. No one knew that they were actually incarnations of Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva to show all beings, until one day, the satrap Qiuyin went to Xiaoguo Temple to visit these two incarnations of Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and they repeatedly said Feng. Then retreat to the stone wall of Moonlight Rock in Tiantai Mountain. The satrap had no choice but to go back to worship Feng Gan, Tommy's incarnation, but when he came back, he found that Feng Gan had passed away. In the Five Dynasties, a Buddhist monk named Bag in Huaxian County, Mingzhou, Hou Liang was also a model of the famous bodhisattva's concept of showing people in China history. According to "Biography of Monks" written by Zanning in Song Dynasty, this is the name of the cloth bag monk, and his name at that time was the cloth bag teacher of Changting. He is wide and fat, with a smile, uncertain words and lying everywhere, just like crazy; He often walks into the market with a cloth bag on his back, begging for whatever he sees, and he will never be satisfied with whatever he gives. Sometimes, in front of a group of people, I pour the contents of my bag on the ground and shout, "Look, look!" " "Ha ha ha a smile, then put it back in the bag. He can accurately predict the weather, rain, dry and wet changes, and even lie alone in a snowdrift, but no snow touches him, showing many miracles. One day, a monk asked a monk in a bag, "What about Buddhism?" The monk kept silent, but immediately put down the cloth bag on his shoulder and stood with his hands crossed. The monk further asked, "Is there any correction after putting down the bag?" The monk in the cloth bag was silent, but immediately picked up his cloth bag and began to move forward, suggesting the true meaning of Buddhism practice. In the third year of Zhen Ming at the end of the Five Dynasties, he sat on the rock in the east corridor of Lin Yue Temple in Fenghua, Zhejiang Province and said, "Maitreya Buddha is really Maitreya Buddha. Hundreds of billions of people in the two places always show the world that the world never knows it." The words faded away. People suddenly realized that he was the incarnation of Maitreya. Xu Yun, a senior monk in modern China, was also protected and helped by "remoulding people". Lao Xu made a vow to worship Wutai Mountain in Shanxi, three steps away from Putuo Mountain in the South China Sea, five or six thousand miles away. When he was swimming in the Yellow River, he was caught in heavy snow in the middle of winter, so he took shelter in an empty hut by the Yellow River. For several days, it snowed for a long time, and Lao Xu was hungry and cold, almost freezing to death. At this time, a beggar came around the shed and cooked yellow rice porridge for the old monk. I feel a little refreshed after eating. Lao Xu asked the beggar your name and place. The beggar said,' My name is Wenmingji, and I'm from five people. Everyone knows me. After that, beggars helped Lao Xu with clothes and luggage, which made it much more convenient for Lao Xu to pay homage. On the way, they sometimes beg for shelter in the temple, but the monks in the temple bully the beggars and scold Lao Xu:' If you face the mountain, you face the mountain and worship the Buddha. Why are you still called a follower? "What are you putting on airs?" Lao Xu was scolded, and so was the beggar. He wasn't even allowed to live in the temple, so he was kicked out. The beggar said to Lao Xu, "It's not far from Wutai Mountain." . I'm going back first. Take your time. Your luggage will be sent to you on the mountain soon. So he left. Sure enough, on the way, Lao Xu met a Hunan official who was driving a carriage and helped him move his luggage to Wutai Mountain, but Lao Xu was successful. When I was visiting Wutai Mountain, I asked all the Wutai Mountain monks if they knew a beggar named Moon Hee. No one knew him. Later, an old monk told me the reason, only to know that Moon Hee is the incarnation of Manjusri Bodhisattva (Man-Manjusri, Ji-Miaoji). Buddha and Bodhisattva are merciful to the world. Even around us stupid ordinary people, there are often three saints and protectors to humanize us. This kind of case has been heard from time to time, and Hou Xue (author Zhu Sheng-blogger's note) had a similar experience. Xue Xue, born in 1998, gave up reciting the Great Compassion Mantra for a while because he held too many mantras. As a result, he also encountered all kinds of dissimilarities, so that his bicycle and himself disappeared out of thin air in front of Hou Xue, and the locks several kilometers away were completely displayed. These differences didn't suddenly disappear until Hou Xue resumed reciting the Great Compassion Mantra. We are in the last days of Buddhism, and practitioners are mixed. There may be not only Buddhists and Bodhisattvas, but also charlatans who pursue fame and fortune, and even monsters. How can I not be fooled when I meet good knowledge? The key depends on whether this subject is really pure (self-styled "purest" is not counted), whether it leads all beings to the abyss of abstinence and wisdom, or the abyss of greed and ignorance. If we want to spread Buddhism and benefit students' good knowledge for a long time, we must know the standard of good knowledge (virtue), regardless of monks and nuns. Hua Yan's poverty in Shi Jing tells us that people with the following ten virtues can be regarded as good knowledge to measure people: 1. Second, we should be able to spread it widely and preach the wonderful significance of Buddhism to all living beings; 3. fearless in front of the public, he can ask questions with difficulty and answer without fear when preaching Buddhism in the public; Fourth, without eloquence, you can continue to live without hindrance; Fifth, convenience can be said in a variety of clever and convenient ways; Sixth, the law has the law, which can make all sentient beings as they believe; Seven, the prestige foot, that is, walking, living, sitting and lying down, has awe and instruments to follow; Eight, be brave and diligent, and diligently practice all good laws to guide all beings; Nine, the body and mind are tireless, that is, to cultivate all kinds of victories, always be compassionate, and take care of all beings without slacking off; Ten, the achievement of endurance, practice all the humiliation, in order to achieve the ability of being born without endurance as soon as possible. The Mahayana Solemn Sutra quoted by Master Zong Kaba, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism, can also be used as our reference standard. These ten virtues are "knowing quietness and quietness, virtue becomes rich with diligence, kindness is practical and skillful, and sorrow should stop at annoyance", which is similar to that contained in Hua Yan Jing. In addition, there is a very important one, which is clearly stated in the four pure religions in the Shurangama Sutra: "After I die. Bodhisattva and arhat. Should be born in the last law. ..... I don't talk to myself. I am a true bodhisattva, a true arhat. Revealing Buddhism is easy to say, and learning is at the end. Except for life. Yin has a legacy. What is a cloud? People confuse all beings into big lies. You teach the world to practice samadhi. After that, cut off contacts and tell big lies. It is called Tathagata. Buddha first, Buddha second. The fourth decision is clear. Buddhists and bodhisattvas show different identities, and they will never flaunt themselves as "Buddhists show their spirits" or "other bodhisattvas will come again". Even if they lost their identity, they must have finished giving alms and will disappear now. On the other hand, liars are just the opposite. Without testimony, they are afraid that the whole world will not know that everything they do is not for economic benefits, but for a false reputation, even for food, clothing and beauty. All kinds of greed are contrary, just like the fake "wonderful old monk" above. We regard this birthright as a signboard for ourselves and the Dojo for everyone to worship and support, so we should be vigilant.
