Because there are many kinds of silk, I will introduce several common silk fabrics to you:
Plain crepe satin:
Plain satin belongs to the conventional fabric of all-silk fabric. Bright satin is very noble, smooth to the touch, elastic and compact in structure. Due to the strong twist on the weft, the shrinkage rate of this fabric is relatively large, and the luster decreases after entering the water.
Advantages:
1, crepe satin plain has a natural luster from the visual point of view, soft and delicate to the touch, good drape, and no rough feeling.
2. Among all kinds of silk, it has excellent wearability, which not only has the advantages of wrinkle resistance of crepe fabrics, but also has the characteristics of smoothness and softness of satin fabrics.
Disadvantages:
1, heavy crepe satin has better durability and fastness, but on the other hand, it will lose a lot of its unique delicacy and softness.
2. The shrinkage of crepe satin is relatively small in real silk.
Crepe de chine:
Thin crepe fabrics are made of mulberry silk, with untwisted or weakly twisted monofilaments as warp yarns and strong twisted weft yarns. When weaving, weft yarns are alternately woven with left and right needles, and the fabric structure is plain weave, also known as crepe de chine.
After scouring, the surface of the fabric is wrinkled, with slight bumps and wavy scales, soft luster, soft hand feeling, comfortable wearing and good wrinkle resistance.
Advantages:
Not afraid of wrinkles, light and elegant, not easy to stick to the body, soft and comfortable to wear.
Disadvantages:
The appearance of crepe de chine is not gorgeous enough, not beautiful enough, and it is not beautiful to make a coat. Generally, it is more suitable to make a coat or skirt. Solemn occasions are not suitable.
Elastic satin:
It means that crepe satin is plain and elastic, and its appearance is not much different from that of crepe satin, but it feels more elastic than it.
Advantages:
1. And it won't break so easily after adding elasticity, so there are more and more elastic silk fabrics, such as elastic satin, elastic double Qiao, elastic crepe, elastic georgette and so on. All stretch silk fabrics are made up of 94% mulberry silk and 6% spandex.
2. The conventional widths of elastic silk fabrics are 108cm and 140cm, but there is no width of 1 14cm. Elastic satin is actually the product of silk fabrics adapting to the times, and its sales volume has been very good in recent years.
Disadvantages:
1. In terms of use, it is not easy to operate directly because of its elasticity, and it is easy to curl. However, it is easy to solve the problem. You can stick a layer of lining paper or brush a layer of grout on the fabric to prevent the fabric from being deformed and disobedient when cutting.
