During the period of 1958, Mr. Wang Zhenduo verified the structure of the photographic platform of the water transport instrument according to Su Song's book Introduction to New Instruments and Images, and successfully copied a miniature model of this instrument and displayed it in the China History Museum. Almost at the same time, Joseph Needham and others in Britain also did similar work, and Mr. Combridge of London General Post Office also copied a copy according to his research and understanding.
