How to plant delphinium?
Delphinium, also known as Delphinium grandiflorum, Dove Flower, Stemona Stemona, Chicken Feet Company, etc. It is a perennial herb of Ranunculaceae and Delphinium. Because of its unique flower shape, it looks like a swallow. Delphinium is a straight-rooted plant with few fibrous roots, which is suitable for direct seeding and needs to be transplanted with soil balls. Delphinium is cold-resistant, sunshine-loving, afraid of summer heat and waterlogging, and is suitable for growing on deep and fertile sandy soil.

The propagation methods of delphinium are seed propagation or cutting propagation. Sowing time: Sowing can be carried out in spring and autumn, and autumn sowing can be carried out in mid-September. The optimum temperature for seed germination is about 65438 05℃. When the soil temperature is lower than 20℃, it will germinate after about two weeks. The soil must be kept moist after sowing. The easiest way is to cover some grass and gradually remove the cover after seedling emergence.

When delphinium grows two real leaves, it can be transplanted in a small pot with soil, and then replaced with a big pot when the seedlings grow up. Water should be dry and wet, and a little more water should be poured during flowering to avoid excessive soil drying. The optimum temperature for the growth period of Delphinium is 20~25℃ during the day and 3 ~ 65438 05℃ at night. The flowering period is from May to July.

Note: Appropriate amount of organic fertilizer can be applied as base fertilizer when changing pots, and then 1~3 times of decomposed cake fertilizer can be applied every month according to the growth situation. Pay attention to collecting seeds in time to avoid cracking after seeds mature. If ramet propagation is adopted, it can be carried out in spring and autumn. Generally, ramets are divided into two or three years.
