Where is Yanji?
Yanji is a city in Jilin Province. Yanji is surrounded by mountains in the east, south and north, with an open west and a flat middle, showing a horseshoe-shaped basin. Average elevation150m. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south, with hilly terrain. Rivers in the territory are tributaries of Tumen River, mainly including Buerhatong River, Yanji River and Hailan River. The soils in this area are mainly gray brown soil, paddy soil, alluvial soil, meadow soil and black soil.

There are National Highway 302 and Tuwu Highway running through Yanji, and G 12 Hunwu Expressway (Hunchun-Ulanhot) runs through Yanji. Yanji-Changchun Expressway was opened to traffic in June 2008. There are expressways that go directly to North Korea's Luojin Port, Russia's Bo Schet Port and Russia's Zha rubino Port.
