Lateral position
Lying on the side is the best choice for pregnant women to sleep, especially on the left side. This can reduce the oppression of the uterus on large blood vessels, ensure the oxygen and nutrition supply of the fetus, and also reduce low back pain and leg edema.
Pillow height
Properly raising the head and upper body with one or two pillows will help you breathe freely, reduce acid reflux and improve the quality of sleep.
Avoid supine and prone positions.
Lying on your back will hinder blood return and affect fetal blood circulation; Lying prone can put pressure on the spine and abdomen, increasing the risk of low back pain. Neither is desirable.
Stretch before going to bed.
Simple stretching exercises, such as leg stretching and waist twisting, help to relax muscles and improve sleep quality.
