Studies have shown that drinking chocolate milk after exercise helps to improve muscle strength. Chocolate milk helps to strengthen muscle performance.
A recent study published in the journal Strength and Training Research by the University of Texas at Austin shows that moderate intake of low-fat chocolate milk after exercise can help enhance muscle endurance, help burn fat and improve exercise effect.
Dr. John L. Ivy, the author of the study, pointed out that the study showed that low-fat chocolate milk can supplement carbohydrates and protein after exercise, which may be a better choice than zero-calorie boiled water or tea, or carbohydrate sports drinks without protein.
The researchers first let 10 well-trained cyclists ride for more than 2 hours, making them feel tired in a short time. After 2 hours, give them chocolate milk (organic, low-fat), ordinary milk, soybean milk, carbohydrate drinks or calorie-free drinks. After 4 hours, let this group of cyclists have a bicycle time trial.
