You will feel hungry after yoga, or you may not be hungry at all, or you were hungry before, but now you are not. These are normal and vary from person to person. You can judge slowly after drinking two glasses of water. Some yoga moves do stimulate digestion and the fire of digestion (called "Agni" in yoga), so it is normal to have hunger and appetite. Another situation is that yoga regulates your secretory glands, so the illusion of hunger caused by secretion disorder disappears. On the other hand, I feel very satisfied and have no appetite, which means that my body gets the energy it needs from practice (especially through pranayama) and is nourished by prana. All three situations may happen when three students do the same exercise at the same time.
In either case, the main enemy of yogis' diet is "overeating", which is an absolute principle and suitable for any spiritual lifestyle. In most cases, when the body tells us "enough, enough", it is the body that is "begging for mercy", but in fact it is often overeating. Overeating includes: a) eating impure food (non-vegetarian, too stimulating and stale food), b) eating all kinds of food for appetite and gluttony, eating too many "recreational" snacks in peacetime, c) eating too much food, and d) eating at inappropriate times. Generally speaking, after yoga practice (especially at night), you should eat light and digestible food. But because everyone's age, physique, digestive ability and physical needs are very different, this is only a general principle. You must cultivate your consciousness through yoga, let yourself "listen" to the information sent by your body, and establish habits that are suitable for you and beneficial to your physical and mental health. If you are a little "leisurely" after practicing, it is reasonable to drink water, sit for a while, change clothes, adjust your body and go out, and let this process last for 20 ~ 30 minutes until you can really sit down and start eating. Another thing is that you don't need to take a bath unless you really sweat so much that you still feel sticky after all this. Yoga suggests taking a bath in the morning and before practice, not at night or after practice. According to Huangdi Neijing, "You Mao Bath" is from 5: 00 to 7: 00 in the morning and afternoon, which is the most suitable time for bathing. If you really need to wash, wash the sweat quickly with warm water, and the time does not have to exceed one minute.
