Should the college entrance examination plus points policy be cancelled?
I don't think the policy of adding extra points to the college entrance examination should be abolished, but it should be rectified. The original intention of adding points to the college entrance examination is to promote fairness, not to widen the gap. However, due to the unequal information resources, some people have been admitted to famous schools with relatively perfect information, while others have worked hard, but they have not been admitted to better schools.

When we were young, while we were still immersed in our studies, some students began to cut corners, although we don't know why they went to so many cram schools. Sometimes we even sympathize with them being squeezed by cram schools, but at the annual draft, we will be very envious when we see them show their skills. Do their parents just want their children to be versatile? If you think so, it's too simple. Only parents who don't enroll their children in remedial classes will have such a simple idea.

When I was old, I suddenly found that those students who studied musical instruments, dance and painting were admitted to good universities through art students. And those who have passed the national second-class athlete's certificate have also been admitted to good universities with extra points in sports. And those of us who have been educated and studied hard since childhood only went to a relatively ordinary school because of the ordinary learning methods. Of course, if you are gifted, you can still crush those candidates who have been promoted through other channels through exam results.

People who often know the policy of adding points to the college entrance examination have relatively rich families, so they know more information. Their parents will also plan ahead and pave the way for their children early. It's unfair to those of us from ordinary families. Moreover, studying fine arts or practicing sports specially requires a lot of resources, which is beyond the reach of an ordinary family. If we only compete on grades, it is unfair for children from poor families because of lack of resources, and it is even more unfair if children from rich families get extra points because of rational use of the college entrance examination policy.

Therefore, I think the policy of adding points to the college entrance examination should be rectified, but it is not necessary to cancel it completely.
