What is Courant dance?
Courant is a kind of court dance originated in Italy, which means like running water, and the dance moves like a swimming posture that fluctuates on the water. Dance formations are oval, rectangular, octagonal and zigzag. Dance can be divided into two forms: simple or complex. Simple ones include some sliding steps, and complicated ones include some plots, such as the female partner refusing the invitation of the male partner and the male partner kneeling in front of the female partner. After this episode, the couple began to dance. Dance movements include three steps: forward, backward and backward, and the steps are divided into small steps, including straight crossing, bending knees, lifting legs and sliding forward. Long steps include walking with knees bent and sliding with knees bent. In dance, short steps and long steps are connected and danced alternately. It is said that Louis XIV of France liked this dance very much. Courant was later chosen as the opening dance of the wedding dance. /kloc-in the 0/8th century, the upper class stopped dancing this kind of dance.
