Why are there three Tathagata in the Ursa Major Hall?
There are often three Buddha statues in the main hall of China Han Buddhism Temple, which are generally called "III Buddha". The third Buddha is called "Heng San" and "Jian San", and Heng San is also called the Three Buddhas, namely the Oriental Glass Buddha (Medicine Buddha), the Middle Sakyamuni Buddha and the Western Amitabha Buddha. In terms of time, III is the past Kaya Buddha, the present Sakyamuni Buddha and the future Maitreya Buddha. Mahayana Buddhism believes that Sakyamuni Buddha has different identities and attributes in different situations. These three buddhas are Piluchana Buddhas, which represent the absolute truth of Buddhism. Rushena reported Buddha, which means the highest wisdom to prove absolute truth; It should be the Buddha of Sakyamuni, and it is the Buddha body that adapts to the situation and educates all beings. There are many different views on the three-body Buddha (generally referring to the past Buddha burning lanterns, the present Buddha Sakyamuni, and the future Buddha Maitreya). All forms of Buddha are based on the form of Sakyamuni Buddha. Therefore, each Buddha statue is similar in shape, appearance and physical characteristics except that the handprint is slightly different.
