When I wanted to give her the camera, she asked me how much it was worth. I said I brought less than 3 thousand lenses, and she thought it was too expensive. Just let me sell it and buy her a cheap and useful one. I asked her how much it was, and she said a few hundred dollars would be fine! It's difficult for me, and it's easy to use and so cheap. After careful consideration, I finally bought Panasonic's GF9. I wanted to buy an older model. Later, after comparison, I bought a GF9. There are several reasons for choosing this camera, which is also my opinion on what machine to buy for entry photography with low budget (my 25.7 lens is less than 1500).
First, don't buy a film machine!
Last time I read an article (from a blogger who has been certified as a "creator in the field of high-quality photography"), she said in the second half, "I really like it. If I have no money, I can choose a stupid movie player with a price of 300- 1000." I was shocked at that time. Is it because she doesn't understand or deliberately misleads people? No money to buy a stupid movie machine? Doesn't she know the price of film? I retorted in the comment section, and she confidently said, "Which photography school can you go to to avoid film photography?" "A thousand dollars of film is enough to take many photos" is really an eye-opener. Can I still make a movie without money now? Don't you need to take a lot of photos to learn photography? Is the fool machine suitable for learning photography? This is why I want to express my views, because I think some articles are misleading!
Second, don't buy a particularly old model.
Because the article often mentions that xx Quan Huafu SLR cameras can be bought under xx, so as far as I know, most cheap full-frame machines (such as below 2000) should be very old models. Let's not talk about the sensor for the time being, there is definitely no touch screen, and there is no function to connect to the mobile APP. It is not as good as modern ones to let an experienced person use those old machines. How much more a novice?
Thirdly, consider the lens group
Because the lens has a great influence on the image quality, and there are many choices of lenses, it is easy to buy the fixed-focus lens of the focal segment you like after experiencing the perspective relationship of each focal segment. Unlike Samsung before me, because I quit the market, NX bayonet basically has no new lens and few choices. For example, the fixed-focus lenses such as the Three Musketeers produced in the past two years are almost not mounted by Samsung NX. It seems that most manufacturers can only turn around by hand.
Fourth, don't abandon M43 and APSC.
This sentence is very common, but there are certain conditions. As we all know, variables should be controlled in comparison. Other things being equal, the sensor will have more advantages. When the budget is insufficient, you can't afford a high-quality lens with a large aperture in Quan Huafu, which is not as good as APSC and M43, and there will be blur. The same lens blur is the same. The small sensor is the cutting of the viewing angle. Why do you say bottom? That's because to get the same perspective effect, the frame size needs to be reversed, and the distance from the subject and background has changed. Specifically, you can also read related articles (I have also sent relevant opinions). Excluding these factors, I think the frame size does not affect your learning photography, but the camera is better controlled, which makes you more efficient and learn faster!
Fifth, consider whether you really need to buy a camera.
In recent years, the development of mobile phone images is obvious to all. Mobile phones have great advantages in portability, and multiple cameras also make up for some disadvantages in focal length. If your mobile phone camera is rarely used, can you buy a camera to shoot more and practice more? Nowadays, mobile phones generally have more than two cameras, namely, a wide-angle camera of about 28mm and an ultra-wide-angle camera of less than 20 mm. More than two cameras generally have a telephoto or macro lens, but there are also some special ones. For example, a ZTE model has a lens with a 35mm viewing angle, and the iPhone has an equivalent lens of about 65mm. I think it's good to take portraits. If the focal length of the current mobile phone lens meets your needs and the imaging quality is satisfactory, there is no need to buy a camera. My opinion is: consider the focal length, performance and image quality comprehensively, and then see if it is necessary to upgrade the equipment. The most important thing to learn photography is to spend time to accumulate experience and improve your skills.
Finally, share some features of the GF9 I bought for my sister.
First, the appearance is more suitable for girls. I bought a pink one, which is small and easy to put in my pocket. Secondly, it is convenient to use. Flip the touch screen+mobile app, the function key has a pulsator, and then there are many built-in automatic modes. In addition to the conventional filter, it also has beauty and slimming modes, and even has built-in post-adjustment functions such as whitening, big eyes and thin face, foundation and eye shadow, and can set her own facial information. For her, I don't like to study professional things and the later stage, so there are many built-in modes, so it's convenient to take pictures and send them to your mobile phone through the APP, share them or use Meitu Xiu Xiu for processing. Finally, if you need to shoot video, this camera can shoot 4k30p video at most, and there is nothing else to say. The previous generation M43 sensor had too many lenses to choose from.
Below are the built-in super beauty settings.
