Guo Shiqiang, 1975, was born in Liaoyang, Liaoning Province on July 8th. He is a former CBA basketball player, now the head coach of Liaoning Men's Basketball Team and the deputy director of Liaoning Basketball Management Center. He has played for teams such as Sichuan Lan Jian Team and Liaoning Shen Fei Team. Won the runner-up in the 2002 Asian Games.

On June 8th, 2006, Pan Pan Club officially announced that Guo Shiqiang was the head coach of Liaoning Pan Pan team. Subsequently, Guo Shiqiang pressed him to become the assistant coach of the national men's basketball team. On May 5th, 2009, he officially became the head coach of China Men's Basketball Team.

August, 2009 16, led the China men's basketball team to win the second place in the 25th Asian men's basketball championship held in Tianjin.
