Medical atomizer is divided into ultrasonic atomizer, compression atomizer and screen atomizer.
The working principle of ultrasonic atomizer: the liquid medicine becomes mist by the vibration of ultrasonic thin plate. Because the mist particles produced by ultrasonic vibration are large and dense, which is not friendly to patients, the ultrasonic atomizer has been eliminated now.
Working principle of compressed atomizer: compressed air makes the liquid medicine form particles on the baffle, and the particles with smaller diameter penetrate the screen to form mist. Particles with large diameter return to the liquid medicine.
Working principle of mesh atomizer: Mesh atomizer is a new type of atomizer, which combines the principles and characteristics of ultrasonic atomizer and compression atomizer. The mesh atomizer has a nozzle design with thousands of holes with a diameter of about 3 microns. During operation, the liquid medicine is initially atomized by the tiny ultrasonic vibration generated by the vibrator, and then the liquid medicine is extruded from the hole through the mesh nozzle to realize secondary atomization and form aerosol particles with smaller diameters. The diameter of atomized particles is concentrated between 3 μ m and 7 μ m, and the diameter of particles ≤5 μ m is generally above 50%, and some brands can reach 60%-90%. Mainly used for atomization treatment of children.
Atomization inhalation therapy is a common method to treat respiratory diseases. Based on the principle of gas injection, the drug is dispersed into tiny droplets or particles suspended in the gas by a certain atomizing device, and deposited in the respiratory tract and lungs by inhalation, thus achieving the therapeutic effect of the drug. Like oral drugs, intramuscular drugs and intravenous drugs, atomized inhalation therapy is a mode of administration, but compared with other modes of administration, atomized inhalation therapy has the advantages of small dosage, quick onset and less systemic side effects.
