How to replace Lenovo's own win8 with XP system?
At present, Lenovo's desktop and all-in-one computers with Windows 8 pre-installed in the factory use the combination of UEFI+GPT hard disk to start the safe boot. But at present, except Windows 8, other Windows systems don't support this mode, so if you need to modify other systems, such as WidndowsXP, you must work in the traditional BIOS+MBR mode. If you don't modify any settings, you can't boot and install other operating systems normally from the CD. The following contents are the specific operation steps of refitting windowsXP with windows8 pre-installed in the factory.

Special reminder:

1. This operation will cause all data on the hard disk to be erased, including the one-button recovery function. If you need to restore the windows8 system and the one-button recovery function, you need to send it to the service station for operation. 1 year is free. (all original partitions need to be deleted when GPT hard disk is converted into MBR hard disk)

2. When installing operating systems such as windowsxP, you must use genuine installation disks, so that when deleting partitions and recreating them, the installer will automatically convert GPT into MBR. Do not use ghost disk or third-party partition tools to re-partition the partition, otherwise the system may not be installed or booted normally, and other unpredictable situations may occur.

3. If the hard disk has data, you must back up the data of the whole hard disk, not just the data of the C disk (see the first reason).

Go back to the directory 1. Bios settings (BIOS interfaces of different models may be slightly different, please refer to the actual model)

2. Prompt for warning, select "Yes" and press enter to confirm;

3. Press F9 on the keyboard, select "Yes", and press Enter to confirm to restore the BIOS default value;

4. Enter the startup interface, set "CSM" to "Enabled" and press enter to confirm (CSM: Compatibility Support Module).

5. Set "Boot Mode" to "Legacy Only" and press Enter to confirm;

6. The modified status is as follows:

7. Finally, press F 10 on the keyboard to save the changes, select Yes, press Enter to confirm, save and exit.
