Japanese mobile phones are basically not sold separately. Customers can choose a network operator.
Japan is mainly divided into three major operators: Softbank, DoCoMo and AU.
The so-called operators, in short, are similar to China Unicom and China Mobile in China.
There are basically no shops selling mobile phones in Japan, and all kinds of mobile phones of mobile phone brands are provided to those three suppliers respectively. The styles of the three mobile phones are definitely not repetitive, but similar at most. If you really like a mobile phone, you can only choose the supplier who owns it.
For a simple example, if you choose DOCOMO, you can choose one of DOCOMO's mobile phone styles and sign a contract with DOCOMO. Generally, the mobile phone will be taken for free for two years on the spot, and the cost will be paid in the monthly phone bill.
In the past two years, 80% of international students in Japan chose Softbank because it has a white plan at home. The basic telephone usage fee for one month is 980 yen, and calls with the company are free from 9 am to 9 pm.
AU was used before, because it was half price for students. SOFTBNAK has risen in recent years, replacing the previous operators.
DOCOMO is more expensive and is operated by NTT, the largest power company in Japan (similar to Niu B, a domestic telecommunications company in Japan).
In the past, Japanese people generally used DOCOMO, while China people used AU. Soft has become popular in the past two years, and everyone has switched to soft ~ hehe ~ ~ Of course, soft has its disadvantages. At the same time, it is also cheaper, the transparency of the usage fee is not as good as DOCOMO and AU, and sometimes the phone bill will be unexpectedly expensive.
Everyone is in business, and there will be no stuffing cakes in the world. I think Softbank just successfully played a language game and gave everyone a hint.
I have used Softbank for four years, and to be honest, it is not cheap. At least not much cheaper than my old AU and DOCOMO. The so-called white plan, at least my mobile phone has never received a phone bill receipt below 10000 yen.
