Clinical application of cassia twig.
Guizhi is a commonly used Chinese herbal medicine, which is pungent, sweet and warm, and can enter the bladder meridian of heart, lung and bladder. Its efficacy: sweating and resolving muscles, warming meridians and dredging collaterals, and helping yang to transform qi. The dosage is 3- 10g, and the usage can be * * * boiled or taken at night.

Guizhi, former sages and fellow initiates all have high knowledge and experience about Guizhi. I will also share my clinical experience and discuss the progress with you.

The first is the usage of the thickness of cassia twig slices (I have two kinds of cassia twigs in clinic)

Tender cassia twig (commonly known as "Guijian", with a diameter of about 0.3-0.7)

My experience is sweating and walking on the muscle surface. This tender cassia twig is used in Guizhi decoction. In addition, if the cold caused by eating cold and drinking cold in summer has corresponding symptoms, I will also help tender cassia twig less, use its peace and divergence, and use sweat to relieve evil.

Ramulus Cinnamomi (commonly known as "Ramulus Cinnamomi", with a diameter of about 0.7- 1.0, which can be cut vertically or obliquely).

The empirical usage of Cinnamomum cassia twig is to reduce adverse flow and dredge collaterals. I think that after its growth cycle is a little longer, the wood is slightly aging, and the absorbed Sun Qi is slightly convergent. Its nature tends to be two-way, which can not only reduce countercurrent, but also swim in the meridians of limbs (not focusing on sweating). Clinically, it is often used for yang stagnation, nocturnal premature ejaculation, amenorrhea, less menstrual flow and rheumatism. After dialectical accuracy, I often overuse it.

Next, I will divide the clinical experience and usage of Ramulus Cinnamomi into two points:

First, strengthen essence and promote yang (with coarse cassia twig)

I almost always use it for frequent nocturnal emission and premature ejaculation caused by excessive masturbation of teenagers and cutting Yuanyang, impotence and premature ejaculation of middle age. Ramulus Cinnamomi is as effective as a drum in this respect.

Example 1 (see the above figure): A 32-year-old male patient has frequent nocturnal emission and premature ejaculation, and can have nocturnal emission 3-5 times a week. Husband and wife live in disharmony and come to see a doctor. The face is dull, the tongue is bright red and smooth, with little fur and thick gray fur, mainly distributed at the base of the tongue, and there are obvious tooth marks on the tongue. He used to masturbate a lot and liked to stay up late.

Syndrome differentiation belongs to deficiency of kidney-qi.

After a week's addition and subtraction of Guizhi Gancao Gulong Muli Decoction and Wuzi Yanzong Pill, the effect was outstanding, and they were told that they had to abstain from bad habits for the time being and the follow-up feedback was good.

Summary: The dosage of Ramulus Cinnamomi should be flexible here. If it is a fixed semen, the dosage needs to be less. Solid essence should be matched with soft and non-greasy products according to the situation, such as fried white peony root, wine Polygonatum odoratum, wine Ligustrum lucidum and so on. When the yang is rising, the amount needs to be larger, or insects, such as hippocampus and centipede, can be used less, and the effect is faster.

Second, soothing the liver and promoting blood circulation (using raw cassia twig)

It has a good effect on amenorrhea caused by blood cold and kidney deficiency in women. Traditional drugs for soothing the liver include Bupleurum, Cyperus rotundus, bergamot, Radix Curcumae, rose and plum blossom. However, I found that this kind of herbs has a good effect on breast conditioning of liver-qi stagnation type, but it is not particularly ideal for amenorrhea of liver-qi stagnation, irregular menstruation and blood cold and kidney deficiency type.

Occasionally, I read in Bielu that "Guizhi ... is mainly responsible for wind and hypochondriac pain ...", and then read the explanation of Guizhi in Yaojie, Changsha, only to know that the prescription is too persistent in mud and stick to the rules.

"Changsha Medicinal Solution" wrote that "Guizhi enters the liver to divide blood, learn from the classics, is good at expelling wind, is the best at regulating wood qi, clearing yang and removing depression, lowering turbid yin and pushing back, relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, benefiting arthralgia, dispersing depression in the liver and gallbladder, relieving pain, dredging meridians and collaterals, and even eliminating dampness and dispelling cold, which can stop running dolphins, and what's more. Generally speaking, there are many miscellaneous diseases, not because of inversion of lung and stomach. Because of the depression of the liver and spleen, Guizhi should be both rebellious and depressed, and it is not suitable for both sides. "

Example 2 (see above): The patient, a 46-year-old female, a local farmer, came to see a doctor because of menopause for four months and persistent insomnia aggravated for one month. The more I sleep, the more awake I am, accompanied by hot flashes, night sweats, upset, fat, weak, cold, my husband is working outside, gathering less and leaving more, and I am upset recently.

Dialectics belongs to wet stagnation.

Add and subtract Erchen Decoction and Anshen Zhi Ding Pill, in which proper amount of Ramulus Cinnamomi is used to achieve the effect of transforming qi. After taking the medicine for four days, hot flashes, night sweats and upset disappeared, only insomnia remained. Later, the dosage of cassia twig and dampness was slightly increased. On the seventh day, the video told me that my sleep was getting better, my period was coming, and my mood was very carefree.

Conclusion: Shugan can't just focus on Bupleurum and Cyperus rotundus, but must thoroughly understand the nature and symptoms of the medicine, so that the medicine can be like an armband.
