1. Create an object and apply the effect. The following example has a 3D effect.

2. Click the object. Please follow the following path: window > external.

3. When the appearance box appears, click the effect you want to delete. Then click the Clear Appearance button (the second button from the left at the bottom of the palette).

4. Your effect has been deleted. Simply reverse this process to add an effect.
