Why do you get fatty liver?
Six causes of fatty liver

1. Long-term alcoholism is the first killer of liver injury. This is because after alcohol enters the human body, it is mainly metabolized in the liver. The toxicity of alcohol to liver cells hinders the decomposition and metabolism of fatty acids by liver cells, which makes fat deposit in the liver and causes fatty liver. The more you drink, the more serious fatty liver will be, and it will also induce liver fibrosis, which will lead to cirrhosis.

2. Overnutrition Long-term intake of excessive animal fat, vegetable oil, protein and carbohydrates, these foods can not be fully utilized in the body, and excess nutrients are converted into fat and stored, leading to obesity, hyperlipidemia and fatty liver.

Malnutrition and obesity are easy to get fatty liver, but it doesn't mean that thin people won't get fatty liver. Clinically, it is often found that some people are thin but also suffer from fatty liver. This is due to long-term malnutrition, lack of protein and vitamins, which can also cause nutritional fatty liver. For example, due to chronic intestinal diseases, long-term anorexia, dieting, vegetarianism, malabsorption syndrome and gastrointestinal bypass surgery, hypoproteinemia and lack of choline, amino acids or lipophilic substances make fat accumulate in the liver and form fatty liver.

4. Diabetic patients are accompanied by chronic diseases such as diabetes, hepatitis, hyperthyroidism and severe anemia. Due to the lack of insulin, the utilization rate of glucose in the body is reduced. In order to replenish energy, the fatty acids in the body increase obviously. If these fatty acids cannot be fully utilized, the fatty synthesis of the liver will be overactive, which will lead to fatty liver. 60% of obese patients will develop diabetes, and their rate of fatty liver is twice as high as that of people without diabetes.

5. Drug-induced liver damage Drug-induced liver damage accounts for110 of adult hepatitis, and fatty liver is a common type. There are dozens of drugs related to fatty liver, such as tetracycline, acetylsalicylic acid, glucocorticoid, synthetic estrogen, amiodarone, nifedipine, some anti-tumor drugs and lipid-lowering drugs, etc. These drugs will all lead to the accumulation of fat in the liver.

6. Hyperlipidemia and hypercholesterolemia are closely related to fatty liver, among which hypertriglyceridemia is the most closely related, and most of them are often accompanied by obesity, diabetes and alcoholism. In addition, some industrial poisons, such as yellow phosphorus, arsenic, lead, copper, mercury, benzene and carbon tetrachloride, can also cause fatty liver. Pregnancy, heredity or mental, psychological and social factors, such as sitting more, exercising less and living lazily, are also related to the occurrence of fatty liver.
