The second measure: empty the clipboard contents.
Clear the contents of the system clipboard (the clipboard stores the copied or cut-and-paste contents of Windows). Click Start → Programs → Accessories → System Tools → Clipboard Viewer. On the Edit menu, click Delete to open the Clear Clipboard dialog box, and then click Yes.
Clear the contents of multiple Clipboards (Clipboards are provided by Office programs). On the Office Clipboard task pane (OfficeXP) or toolbar (Office2000), click Clear All or Clear Clipboard. When the Office clipboard is cleared, the system clipboard will also be cleared.
The third measure: reasonably set up virtual memory. If Windows virtual memory is not set up, it is easy to receive the message of "insufficient memory". Click Start → Settings → Control Panel, and double-click System. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Performance tab, and then click the Virtual Memory button.
Select the option "Let Windows manage virtual memory settings-(recommended)" to set the amount of hard disk space available as virtual memory in the computer to the default value.
Step 4: Increase available disk space There are four ways to increase disk space:
Dump rubbish
Delete temporary files. Open %20 My Computer, right-click the disk where you want to free space, and then click Properties. On the General tab, click the Disk Cleanup button, and select the check boxes in front of unnecessary files that you want to delete to clean up.
Delete expired or archived files from disk.
Delete all files that have never been used.
The fifth measure: reinstall the damaged program. If only one program is used, the system prompts that the memory is insufficient and other programs can run normally, then the possible reason is that the program file is destroyed, resulting in the problem of insufficient memory. Try removing and reinstalling the program, and then run the program again. If the system no longer prompts that there is not enough memory, then the original program file is indeed damaged.
The sixth trick: use memory optimization software. There are many memory optimization software, such as RAM%20Idle and Memo%20Kit. They can be set to automatically empty the clipboard and release the unreleased memory of closed programs, thus saving you the trouble of manual operation and achieving the purpose of automatically releasing memory. Just try it.
