How to adjust the screen size in Linux under VMware
After installing Vmware Tools, the system desktop will automatically adjust to the current monitor.

1. Under the VMWare menu virtual machine, install VMWare Tools.

Double-click to open the CD with the file VMware Tools-8.8.2-590212.tar.gz, and right-click to copy it to the desktop. As shown in the figure below. ?

Step 2 decompress

Input command

tar zxf/home/sunev/Desktop/VMware tools-8 . 8 . 2-5902 12 . tar . gz

At this point, a folder named vmware-tools-distrib will appear on the desktop and enter the directory.

CD/home/sunev/Desktop/VMware-tools-distrib

3. Device

Execute the installation command

Sudo. /vmware-install.pl

Just follow the prompts and VMWare Tools will be installed. In the VMWare menu view, Autosize selects Autofit Guest and restarts ubuntu. At this time, ubuntu's desktop occupies the whole window under VMWare.
