This deciduous shrub is erect and loose, with a conical crown and slender branches with fragrant rose-pink spikes at the top. After they first open in spring, they will open at regular intervals until autumn. Oval green leaves are red and green when they are young. It can be used as a good screen or random hedging. The plants of the "Mishkin" variety are smaller and more compact.
