At present, the version of the mainstream programming software VisualBasic is VisualBasic 6.0 Professional Edition. The operating system we use is Windows 10.
First, put the installation CD of VisualBasic 6.0 into the CD-ROM drive of the computer, and usually the computer can automatically run the installation program on the CD-ROM. Before installing VisualBasic, you'd better read the Readme.txt file on the CD-ROM in detail to learn some basic knowledge needed for installing VisualBasic 6.0, then click the Setup.exe file on the CD-ROM and follow the instructions of the installation program.
First, the installer will display a startup screen. If you use different installation disks, the format of the readme file may be different, but this will not affect the installation of the application.
In the dialog box above, you can directly click the Next button on the dialog box to enter the following operations. At this time, you will enter a window showing the Microsoft end-user license agreement, which stipulates some necessary obligations of the end-user. You can only choose to agree here, because if you choose not to agree, the installer will quit.
In the following window, the user will be asked to enter the user name and company name, as well as the ID number of the product. This ID number should be included in the purchased CD. After entering the corresponding information, click the Next button. If you enter the correct ID number, you will enter the next window of VisualBasic 6.0 installer, where there are two options, which are explained in the dialog box. Select the first option here, which is also the default option of the installer.
Click the Next button to enter the next dialog box of the installer. In this dialog box, the installer asks to select the installation path of the public file of the VisualBasic 6.0 application. Here, you can install the application in the required path according to your own needs. After selecting the path, click Next to enter the next operation of the installation program. ? At this point, the initial configuration of the installer is completed, and now the installer related to VisualBasic 6.0 is entered. After initialization for a period of time, the installer will display a dialog box for selecting the installation type.
In this dialog box, there are two operations, one is to select the installation path of VisualBasic 6.0 system, and the other is to select the installation type of the program. Here, you can also specify the installation location of the program at will, such as "E:/VB". When selecting the installation type, there are two options: typical installation, that is, the installer installs according to the most commonly used options, and the second option is to allow the installation options to be configured as needed.
Click the Custom Install button, and a dialog box for setting installation options will be displayed.
Selecting or clearing the check box in the list box on the left indicates whether to install the corresponding component. Click the "Change Options" button on the right side of the dialog box to make more detailed settings.
After selecting the required options, click the Continue button to start copying the files of VisualBasic 6.0. When the program copies all files and configures the corresponding system, it needs to restart Windows. After restarting the system as required, the installation of VisualBasic 6.0 was basically completed.
After restarting the computer, the system will ask whether to install MSDN, which is the help system of VisualBasic 6.0. You can install this system according to your own needs.
I hope it can help you solve the problem.
