Legend of Wenguang Pagoda
Chaoyang Wenguang Pagoda was originally named Thousand Buddha Pagoda. It is said that when the money and materials for building the tower are ready, people will be sent to hire the master who built the Zaopu Guishan Tower. Who knows that the old master thinks that this is the only kung fu, and he is asking for it all over the sky.
The matter was shelved. Soon, the master's apprentice came to Chaoyang alone, volunteered to build the project at a low price and submitted the design drawings. So, the person in charge made a decision to let the young man build the project. After the construction, the tower was built layer by layer. It is like a jade pillar, very spectacular. Everyone saw it and cheered. The last floor is about to be built, and you are almost finished.
Who knows that the problem appeared at this time, and the tower gradually tilted towards the river. Although the great disciple had taken precautions against the unstable foundation by the river, he built a stone embankment to support it. But at this time, the stone embankment failed to withstand the gravity of the tower and cracked. At this time, the big disciple could do nothing, so the project had to stop. At this time, the big disciple was in a hurry and crustily skin of head asked the master for advice. The master refused to teach and made a very boring one. At this time, the apprentice remembered his kind-hearted teacher, so he went to ask her for advice and wanted her to blow on the pillow. Teacher Niang agreed when she saw that the big disciple was in a hurry.
On New Year's Eve, Master went home for the New Year, while his wife bought wine and the couple had a reunion dinner. Teacher Niang deliberately provoked the topic. When the master heard this, he swore, "inverse acts thinks he has kung fu at home. Now I want to see how he ends up. " Teacher Niang said, "No wonder, I heard that the soil there is hard and soft. Even you can't help it." The master was very angry and said, "What's so difficult about this? Just soften the soil on the other side. "
Hearing this, Teacher Niang asked urgently, "What reform?" When master saw the battle, he immediately became suspicious and refused to talk about it again. Disciples can't get a rescue method, and they are worried and restless all day. On this day, his wife carried water home from outside, and the water quality was turbid. She asked her why. His wife said that the wall brick by the well collapsed, the soil by the well pressed down, and the water became turbid. At this time, the big disciple suddenly realized.
The next day, it was announced that the project would continue. On the one hand, the dike protection was strengthened, on the other hand, four deep wells were dug on the hard soil side. Due to the balance of soft and hard soil on both sides, the tower gradually sits up straight. When master learned the situation, he had to admire the cleverness of his big disciple. It is said that this tower was struck by lightning in Yuan Dynasty and was restored in Ming Taizu. When people rename pagodas, they think that pagodas are like colored pens, blue sky is like brocade, glans penis is like inkstone, articles are written in the sky, and talents come out from generation to generation, and the morning glow shines brightly. So it was renamed "Wenguang Tower".
