How to use ps for matting? PS matting method

First, the wand method-the most intuitive method

Scope of application: the color difference between the image and the background color is obvious, the background color is single, and the image boundary is clear.

Method intention: Get the image by deleting the background color.

Method defect: it is useless for messy hair.

Usage: 1, click the "magic wand" tool;

2, in the "magic wand" toolbar, in front of the "continuous" tick;

3. Fill in the value of "Tolerance" as "20". (The value can be adjusted according to the later effect);

4. Click the background color with the magic wand, and a virtual box will appear to surround the background color;

5. If you are not satisfied with the range of the virtual frame, you can press CTRL+D to cancel the virtual frame first, and then adjust the tolerance value of the previous step;

6. If you are satisfied with the scope of the virtual frame, please press the DELE key on the keyboard to delete the background color and get a separate image.

Second, the color model method-fast

Scope of application: the color difference between the image and the background color is obvious, the background color is single, and there is no background color in the image.

Method intention: crop the picture through the background color.

Method defect: not suitable for images with background color.

Usage: 1 Pick up the background color with a color straw;

2. Click the "Color Range" function in the "Select" function in the menu;

3. Tick the "Reverse" item, and select the image after confirmation.

Third, the magnetic lasso method-convenient, accurate and fast, is also my usual method.

Scope of application: the image boundary is clear.

Method Intention: The magnetic lasso will automatically identify the image boundary and automatically attach the image boundary.

Method defects: boundary points should be carefully placed on fuzzy boundaries.

Usage: 1 Right-click the Lasso tool and select the Magnetic Lasso tool;

2. Use the "Magnetic Lasso" tool to place boundary points along the image boundary, and a line will be automatically generated between the two points and attached to the image boundary.

3. Boundary points should be carefully placed on fuzzy boundaries.

4. After the cable sleeve is closed, the bedding is completed.

Four, (cable) feathering method-rough machining

Scope of application: Rough floor mat.

Method intention: rough digging, not seeking accuracy

Method defect: the image boundary is inaccurate.

Usage: 1 Click the Lasso tool;

2. Roughly enclose the image with lasso, and the distance between the boundary and the image boundary is almost the same; This can ensure the consistency of feathering range and improve the accuracy of matting;

3. Click the right mouse button and select the "Feather" function;

4. Adjust the feathering value, generally fill in "20", and then roughly select the image after confirmation. The feathering value should be adjusted according to the distance between the border and the image in the previous step.

Five, (cable sleeve) pen tool method-the most accurate and time-consuming method.

Scope of application: the image boundary is complex and discontinuous, and the processing accuracy is high.

Method intention: completely * manually place boundary points one by one for matting.

Method defect: slow. It takes about 15 minutes to dig a picture even if you dig your fingers and feet.

How to use:

The steps of the pen tool method are as follows:

1. The cable sleeve creates a rough path.

(1) Use the lasso tool to roughly outline the characters;

(2) Right-click "Create Work Path", and generally fill in "2" for the tolerance.

2. Fine-tune the path of the pen tool

(1) Select the pen tool and select the second "path" icon in the pen toolbar;

(2) Hold down the CTRL key, click each node (control point) with the mouse, and drag to change the position;

(3) Each node has two radian adjustment points, and adjusting the radian between the two nodes makes the straight line as close as possible to the edge of the graph, which is the key step of smoothing;

(4) Add nodes: If there are not enough nodes, you can loosen the CTRL key and add them on the path with the mouse. Delete node: If there are too many nodes, you can loosen the CTRL key and move to the node with the mouse. When the "-"symbol appears next to the mouse, click the node to delete it.

3. Right-click "Create Selection", and generally fill in "0" for feathering.

Press CTRL+C to copy the selection;

Create a new layer or file;

In the new layer, press CTRL+V to paste the selection, and that's it!

Deselect shortcut key: CTRL+D

Note: this tool is useless for messy hair.

Six, mask matting method-intuitive and fast

Usage: 1 Open photos and background images.

2. Click the move tool to drag the photo onto the background image.

Step 3 add a mask

4. Set the foreground color to black and select the brush 45.

5, so that you can wipe on the background until you are satisfied. If you wipe the wrong place, just change the foreground color to white and you can wipe it back.

Beginner PS matting collection professional edition

First, the eraser pad

Methods, characteristics and scope of application: Eraser matting is to erase unused parts with eraser tools and leave useful parts. This method belongs to the shape matting method, which is simple and easy to use, but the processing effect is not good, and can be used for graphic matting with simple shapes and lines. But it is mainly used for further processing the effect of other methods after matting.

Operating steps:

1, open the picture;

2. Double-click the layer to change the background layer to a normal layer.

3. Select the eraser tool, and then select a brush with a larger main diameter. First, roughly erase most of the unused parts.

4. Select the small point of the main diameter of the brush, enlarge the picture and carry out fine processing.

Second, the magic wand cuts the map.

Methods, characteristics and scope of application: Magic wand matting is to use magic wand tool to select unused parts, or to select the parts to be used and then reverse them, and then delete them, leaving useful parts. This method belongs to the category of color matting, which is easy to use, but not suitable for achieving the expected effect. Therefore, it can only be used for matting when the color difference between the used part and the unused part of the picture is large, or as an auxiliary method of other matting methods.

Operating steps:

1, open the picture;

2. Double-click the layer to change the background layer to a normal layer;

3. Select the magic wand tool, and take an appropriate tolerance value in its attribute column (when the color difference is small, a smaller value must be selected, generally 20); If the graphic color difference is large, you can choose a larger value of 80;

4. Click on the background;

5. Edit/Clear

Third, the path is paved

Methods, characteristics and scope of application: Path matting is to circle the part to be used in the picture with pen tool, then load the path as the selection, reverse the selection, and then delete the unused part from the layer. This method is also a shape matting method, which can be used to matting pictures with complex shapes and small color difference. With the help of rubber polishing tools, good results can be achieved.

Operating steps:

1, open the picture;

2. Double-click the layer to change the background layer to a normal layer;

3. Select the pen tool and select parameters in its property bar;

6. Choose black as the background color and white as the foreground color;

7. Select a brush tool with a diameter of about 10, and add a mask area to the part to be modified;

8. Reduce the brush diameter (5-7), change the foreground color and background color, make the foreground color black, and subtract the redundant part;

9. If it is not ideal, repeat steps 7 and 8 to achieve satisfactory results.

Verb (abbreviation for verb) channel mask

Methods, characteristics and scope of application: Channel matting is a color matting method, which uses the flat contrast of objects in red, yellow and blue channels to process objects in high contrast channels. First, select the channel with high contrast, then copy the channel with further increased contrast, and then select the object with the magic wand tool. It can be applied to the matting of hair, branches, fireworks and other images with small color difference and complex appearance.

Operating steps:

1, open the picture;

2. Double-click the layer to change the background layer to a normal layer;

3. Open the channel panel and click on the red, yellow and blue monochrome panels to find out the clearest channel of the object. We click on the blue channel in this picture.

1 1, select/deselect, edit/clear; Select/deselect

Of course, there are many professional skills, such as extracting foreground color and setting it to white, removing excess color with rubber, extracting hair and hair with contrast and sensitivity, and so on. But these methods are difficult to describe, so some space is omitted.

Discussion on PS matting skills in PS course

In many tourist attractions, there is a rapid synthesis of landscape photos to commemorate, that is, people are superimposed on fixed landscape photos, but the photos produced are relatively rigid. Photoshop darkroom makes it easy for us to make all kinds of synthetic photos, and thanks to the powerful function of Photoshop, you can completely confuse the real with the fake, so that you can "travel around the world" without leaving home.

The premise of making this kind of composite photos is perfect matting, which can be achieved by perfectly separating the composite object from the original background, and then using Photoshop's powerful filter function to do some light and shadow effects.

Using PS to change the background of the ID photo, how to deduct the hair 1, first use the pull-out filter tool to cut the picture.

2. After opening the PS, left-click on the blank space of the PS panel and select the picture to modify the background. The shortcut key Ctrl+J creates the background layer.

3. Click on the foreground color in the lower left corner (white by default) and select the background color you want to change, such as blue. After confirmation, you will find that the foreground color changes from white to blue. Shortcut Alt+Delete, and the background color will become the blue you just selected.

4. Left-click Filter-Extract in the menu bar to enter the extraction page. Pay attention to the sequence of steps at this time. Check the box in the forced foreground on the right side of the page, click the eyedropper tool on the left, and then click the beauty's hair. At this point, the color in the forced foreground will become the color of hair.

5. Click on the edge highlight tool in the upper left corner and apply it to the beauty's hair and body until the character turns green. See the figure below for the effect. Click OK in the upper right corner. Return to the PS interface. You will find that the original photo has turned blue.

6. Select the historical brush tool in the left toolbar and apply it to the hair and clothes of the characters with a brush. Be careful not to paint it on the background. You can enlarge the picture and carefully smear the edges. If the painting is wrong, you can click Edit-Back on the menu bar.

7. After people and hair are smeared, the hair will be buckled out, and the edge of the hair can be improved by deepening tools. The final renderings.

What are the quick matting methods for PS photos? Detailed description of four matting methods.

First, the tool method-cleverly replace the background with the magic wand tool

Knowledge Tip: The magic wand tool mainly allows users to select an area with the same color (such as a red flower) or a picture with a monotonous background without tracking its outline. The color range selected by the magic wand tool can be controlled by the value of the "Error Range" parameter in the tool options bar. Please note that the magic wand cannot be used for images in bitmap mode.

Here's an example to illustrate. Open a photo in Photoshop, as shown in figure 1. Let's analyze this photo first. Its background is dim, and the color of the background is similar. In this case, we can cut the characters by removing the background. Figure 1

The creative idea of this example is to use the magic wand tool to select most background areas, and then use the method of adding selection or deleting selection to further select. If you can't choose the details, use lasso tool or magnetic lasso tool to finish.

1. After opening the photo in the Chinese version of PhotoshopCS, click the magic wand tool in the toolbox, and then set the tolerance parameter value to 50 in the tool options bar that appears. Then click the left mouse button on the character background, and you can get most of the background choices. For discontinuous selection, you can click the "Add to Selection" icon in the tool options bar when selecting the magic wand tool, or hold down the Shift key on the keyboard and click other places you want to select, as shown in Figure 2.

Figure 2

2. Next, further select the background. First click the zoom tool in the toolbox to enlarge some parts of the photo. Or when the "Add to Selection" icon in the magic wand tool option bar is selected and the tolerance parameter value is appropriately changed, clicking the unselected background area with the magic wand tool will further increase the selection of background areas.

Tip: If you select a part of the characters when using the magic wand tool, you can use the magnetic lasso tool, click the "Subtract from Selection" icon in the tool options bar that appears, and then select the selection. For those small areas in the background that have not been selected, you can use the lasso tool and select the "Add to Selection" icon for further selection.

3. The next step is to extract people. Click the "Select → Reverse Selection" command in the menu bar, or press the shortcut key "Ctrl+Shift+I" to reverse selection to select the characters. Then press "Ctrl+C" to copy the characters, and press "Ctrl+V" to paste the characters into the new layer 1, as shown in Figure 3. Figure 3

4. Modify the details. Select the layer where people are stored 1, use the zoom tool to enlarge the people, and use the eraser tool in the toolbox to erase the jagged part of its edge. Then hold down the Ctrl key, click the left mouse button on the character layer to select the extracted character, and then click Select → Feather in the menu bar, or press the shortcut key Alt+Ctrl+D to open the Feather dialog box, enter the Feather parameter value of 2, and click OK. In this way, the edges of the whole character will appear soft but not too stiff.

Tip: When feathering, adjust the feather parameter value, mainly depending on the rough edge of the selected person or object. If the edge of a person or object is rough, the feathering parameter value can be adjusted appropriately.

5. Add background. Click the "File → Open" command in the menu bar, find a beautiful background picture in the search range, add the previously extracted characters to the background file, and adjust the position and size. Then click the "Image → Adjust → Brightness/Contrast" command in the menu bar to open the Brightness/Contrast dialog box, and adjust the brightness of the person to adapt to the background brightness. The final effect is shown in Figure 7. Figure 4

Summary of knowledge points: When matting an image, it is often difficult to distinguish the selected area from the unselected area. In this case, we can save the selected selection to a new layer, then reselect it and gradually delete the unnecessary parts. For difficult details, you can use the eraser tool to trim them.

Second, the path method-choose people with pen tools.

Knowledge Tip: Path is a method provided by Photoshop to draw the boundaries and strokes of the selection, and it is our right-hand assistant to draw images. Paths are straight lines and graphs composed of Bezier curves, which are generally divided into open paths and closed paths. If you want to convert a path into a selection, it must be a closed path. Using path to extract people is more suitable for photos with clear edges and contours.

Before we operate, let's look at the photo and think about what tools and methods are suitable for operating this photo. In this photo, we can see that the edge of the figure is clear, so we can use the path tool to extract the figure from the original background and put it in the new background.

Let's start the operation.

1. Go to Photoshop and open the photo. Click the pen tool in the toolbox and select the Path icon in the tool options bar that appears. In this way, you can use the pen tool to check the path. Next, use the zoom tool in the toolbox to enlarge the image, and then carefully check the outline of the person. The inspection method is as follows:

Draw a path node starting from any edge of the character. When two or more nodes are defined in the image, the direction of the path is determined. Continue to draw other nodes around the character in this direction. If you need to relocate a node, you can hold down the Ctrl key and click the node to modify it. Among them, the node is used to move the position of the curve, and the handle appearing on the node is used to adjust the radian of the curve. By adjusting the curvature of the curve, the path is closer to the contour edge of the person, as shown in Figure 5. Figure 5

2. After checking the outline of the person, start to extract the person. Press the shortcut key Ctrl+Enter to convert the selected path into a selection, or press Ctrl and click Work Path in the Paths panel to convert it into a selection. Press Ctrl+C to copy the characters in the selection, and then press Ctrl+V to paste, and the characters will be automatically saved in the newly created layer 1, as shown in Figure 6. Figure 6

3. Complete the details. The operation method is similar to the operation method of cleverly replacing the background with the magic wand tool in the later stage. Firstly, the outline of the character is feathered by feathering command, so that the outline edge of the character will not appear stiff and unreal. For local areas, you can use an eraser to finish the finishing.

Tip: When using the eraser tool to trim people, especially when trimming facial details of people, you must adjust the size of the eraser tool. The finer the part, the smaller the eraser tool.

4. Finally, add a background to modify the final effect. Click the "File → Open" command in the menu bar to find a background picture in the search range, then press the shortcut key "Ctrl+A" to select all background pictures, and then press the shortcut key "Ctrl+C" to copy. Go back to the original file and press the shortcut key "Ctrl+V" to paste the background image, and then the system will automatically generate a new layer 2. Then, adjust the position of layer 2 with background picture to the lower part of layer 1 with people, and then adjust the size and position relationship between people and background.

Where the transition between the characters and the background is unnatural, you can click the "blur" tool in the toolbox and smear it on the edge of the characters to make the transition between the characters and the background natural. Finally, click the "Filter → Rendering → Lens Halo" command in the menu bar to open the lens halo dialog box, set the brightness parameters and lens type, and then add more lens halos to the background image, so that the final effect is completed, as shown in Figure 7. Figure 7

Third, the mask method _ Sha Jie Ji Jie rolls for grain

Two methods of figure matting are discussed above. Are you already familiar with the methods of extracting figure images and changing background? However, the first two methods have some similarities, that is, when the background color is single or the edge of the figure outline is clear, the success rate of keying is relatively high, while the photos taken in real life often have complex background color and unclear figure outline, such as hair, which are not easy to handle with the above two methods. This problem can be easily solved by using the fast mask editing mode provided by hotoshop.

Knowledge Tip: A mask is actually a mask. It covers the image and isolates the non-editing area of the layer, which is not affected by other area operations. Using masks, you can create a selection of any shape and control the appearance of the edges of the selection. Using quick mask mode, you can quickly create and modify very accurate selection ranges. After creating the selected area as a quick mask, use the drawing tools or filters to modify the selected area to expand or shrink the selected area. Finally, when you exit the quick mask mode and return to the normal mode, the unmasked area will become the selected area, thus creating the required precise selection. After creating a quick mask in an image, you can use almost all tools and filters to modify the mask.

First, analyze a photo, as shown in Figure 8.

Figure 8

The background color of this photo is very complex and layered. Obviously, it is not easy to select a large background area at a time with the magic wand tool. Moreover, the edge and background of the figure outline are complicated, especially the hair. It will be more troublesome if you draw the path with the pen tool. At this time, you can consider using the method of quick mask editing. _ Vinegar: After entering the mask, first paint the outline of the character with a brush, then paint the whole character, then transform it into a selection, and finally extract the character.

1. Let's set the parameters of quick mask first. After opening the photo in Photoshop, double-click the "Edit in Quick Mask Mode" button at the bottom of the toolbox to open the Quick Mask Options dialog box, as shown in figure 13. In this dialog box, you can choose whether to display the color in the mask area or the selected area, and what color and how much transparency are used to display the color. Usually, the color defaults to red. If the character is red, you can choose another color with high contrast with red, such as blue, which is easier to distinguish. (See Figure 9) Figure 9

2. After entering the quick mask, click the brush tool in the toolbox to start painting. First smear it from the edge of the figure outline. Set the brush mode to "Normal", opacity to 100% and flow to 100% in the brush options toolbar. It should be noted here that the hair should be carefully smeared, and the size and hardness of the brush should be set smaller, which is convenient for better operation.

Let's start drawing along the outline edge of the character. After drawing the outline edge of the character, you can adjust the brush size a little bit until all the characters are covered, as shown in figure 10.

Tip: To delete the smeared place, you can select the foreground color as white, and then erase it with a brush. Using the zoom tool in the toolbox when smearing will make the operation more convenient.

3. After daubing, click the "Edit in Standard Mode" button under the toolbox to return to the standard editing mode. At this time, we can see that the area outside the graphic outline has become a selection area, as shown in figure 1 1. Because we want a character, we execute the "Select → Deselect" command in the menu bar, so that the character is selected.

Figure 1 1

4. Extracting people into the new layer is still achieved according to the operation steps and methods in the last two examples. Press the shortcut key "Ctrl+C" to copy the characters, and then press the shortcut key "Ctrl+V" to paste the characters to the new layer 1. After hiding the "background" layer, people can be seen, as shown in figure 12. As we can see from Figure 5, the details of the characters, especially the complicated hair parts, are also handled very well. _ 12

5. Finally, choose a beautiful background picture, put people in it, and trim the brightness, size and position of people, especially the edge details such as hair, which can be processed with fuzzy tools. Click the "Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur" command in the menu bar to open the Gaussian Blur Filter dialog box and set the blur parameters, which will make the characters look more natural and the final effect will come out, as shown in figure 13. Figure 13

Fourth, the filtering method _ δ Rui look at a hammer.

Mastering the first three methods skillfully, people in photos can basically be easily picked out, especially the details, which can be handled well by using the method of quick mask editing. However, in some cases, the effect of using masking technology to treat hair and skin edges is still not ideal. In this case, we can consider using filtering method, and using extraction filter can accurately pick out characters.

Knowledge tip: Compared with the first three tools, the extraction filter provides more professional and powerful tools and parameters. Pull-out filter is an advanced method to isolate foreground objects and clear the background on the layer. Even if the edge of the object is subtle, complex or uncertain, it can be cut and pasted from the background without much operation, and the tools in the extraction dialog box can also specify the part of the extracted image. The main step is to mark the edge of the object and fill in the part to be preserved. You can preview it and then modify the extracted effect.

Let's look at a photo first, as shown in figure 15.

Figure 15

As you can see from this photo, its background color looks similar to the color of the characters' clothes, and their hair is messy. If you want to dig it out of the background accurately, you might as well use a pull-out filter.

1. Open the photo in Photoshop, and then click Window → Layers in the menu bar or press the shortcut key F7 to open the Layers panel. Right-click the background layer and select the "Copy Layer" command in the pop-up shortcut menu to create the "Background _ North China" menu! After the "Ammonia Dust _ Copy" layer is the currently edited layer, click the "Filter → Extract Filter" command in the menu bar to open the filter extraction dialog box.

On the left side of the dialog box are some tool buttons for extracting filters, which are edge highlighting tool, filling tool, eraser tool, pipette tool, cleaning tool, edge decoration tool, zoom tool and gripper tool from top to bottom. On the right side of the dialog box is the parameter setting of the extraction filter. Due to space reasons, I won't explain too much here.

2. Understand the meaning of each component of the extraction filter, and then start to operate on the characters. Click the Zoom tool to enlarge the image of the person, and then click the Edge Highlighter tool. At the same time, adjust the value of the "brush size" parameter on the right to be smaller, which is helpful for smearing human hair. You can erase the wrong part with the eraser tool. First, smear the outline of the character's edge. After sketching, click the Fill tool in the left toolbar to fill the character's skin. At this time, click the "Preview" button on the right side of the dialog box, and you can quickly see the extracted renderings in the preview window.

3. After setting the above operations, click "OK" in the dialog box to exit the "Extraction" filter. At this time, you can hide the "background" layer by clicking the "eye" sign on the left side of the "background" layer in the layer panel, so that "background _ north" will be full of charm, so that you can see the effect of the operation we just used the "extraction" filter.
