Step 2: After the CAD drawing file is opened, enter the PURGE command in the command box below to clean up redundant data, such as layers without entities, useless blocks, linetypes and size styles. You can use the purge command 2~3 times to reduce the CAD file to a smaller size.
Method 2: Use the WBLOCK command to enter the WBLOCK command in the command bar below the software to generate a new graphic file in block form for the graphics to be transmitted, and use the newly generated graphic file for transmission or archiving. Enter the file name and path (file storage location) at the target, select a datum point in CAD, then select the object and press Enter to generate a new graphic file in the specified folder.
Method 3: Copy and paste some graphics in CAD drawings. If we import our drawings into DGN graphic data of MICROSTATION, we will leave a lot of such data, thus producing a large CAD file. We can create a new CAD file by clicking Copy and pasting it into a new drawing.
