All dynasties are famous, both at home and abroad. So far, the market of folium isatidis is broad. Quality products are decreasing year by year. In order to increase the number of tributes, the state palace ordered the villagers to collect thousands of tea seeds for breeding and expand the planting area to increase production. Kewancheng tea tree is a deep dormant tree species. In the feudal society where agricultural production technology was extremely backward, it failed after many experiments and breeding. Only by the output of several original tea trees each year, the tribute can not be guaranteed, nor can it meet the needs of local officials' families. To this end, the imperial court sent imperial envoys to Taiping Prefecture (now Chongzuo County) in Guangxi many times to trace the tribute of Kudingcha. The owner of Wanchengzhou knew that this matter was serious and he might be killed, so he thought hard about how to prevaricate. After repeated discussions, Kuding tea tree, which happened to die in Ku Ding Cun, was sent to Taiping House, pretending that Kuding tea tree had died and could not complete the tribute. The imperial envoys and the master of Taiping House believed it and reported the death of the tea tree to the court. Since then, the history of Wancheng tea as a tribute has ended, and local officials have been exempted from asking questions.

"Zhejiang Medicinal Flora" contains: "Kuding tea is mainly used for wind-heat headache, red eyes, swelling and pain, rhinitis and stomatitis; External treatment of mastitis, burn, yellow sore, swelling and pain of fracture. "

"Sichuan Drug Standard" states: "Kuding tea has expectorant, antitussive, antiasthmatic and anti-inflammatory effects. It can be used for treating chronic bronchitis pain, and also has adjuvant therapeutic effect on patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension.

Guangxi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine has studied that Kudingcha does have the effects of lowering blood pressure, blood lipid and fat.
