Bitmap: Bitmap, also known as pixel map, consists of a grid of pixels or points. Compared with vector graphics, bitmap images are easier to simulate the real effect of photos. It works just like painting on canvas with a brush. If you enlarge this figure to a certain extent, you will find that it is made up of small squares, which are called pixels. Pixel is the smallest image element in an image. Bitmap images can contain millions of pixels. Therefore, the size and quality of bitmap depends on the number of pixels in the image. Generally speaking, the more pixels per square inch, the smoother the blending between colors and the larger the file. Software based on bitmap includes Photoshop, Painter, etc.

Software based on bitmap processing does not mean that it can only process bitmaps. On the contrary, software based on vector graphics processing cannot only process graphics. For example, CorelDRAW is a vector-based program, but it can not only import (or export) vector graphics, but also use CorelTrace to convert bitmaps into vector graphics, and can also convert graphics created in CorelDRAW into bitmaps for export.

The biggest difference between the software based on vector diagram and the software based on bitmap is that the software based on vector diagram is more original and its main advantage lies in originality, while the processing software based on bitmap has stronger post-processing ability and its main advantage lies in image processing.
