Oral health care is used for health care of specific parts.
The oral cavity is an organ for eating, pronouncing and breathing, and it is also an important defense line for health. There is an old saying: "Don't babble yet, all diseases are healthy." Pay attention to oral hygiene, and 75% of dental diseases can be effectively controlled. The World Health Organization and the International Dental Federation put forward: "By the year 2000, everyone will enjoy medical care and oral health care." Traditional Chinese medicine has accumulated rich experience in oral health care, which is worth inheriting and developing.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the oral cavity is closely related to the viscera, and its main physiological functions are entering the valley, distinguishing five flavors, secreting body fluids, grinding the valley to eat and making sounds. For example, "Soul Pivot, Mourning Silence" says: "The speaker is fascinated by sound; The tongue is a machine of sound. " Another example is "A Good Doctor's Prescription": "The mouth is the door of the body and the tongue is the official of the heart. The main taste is five flavors, and the five internal organs are covered. " The physiological and pathological changes of zang-fu organs are often reflected in different parts of the mouth. On the contrary, oral health care can also act on zang-fu organs and promote the function of zang-fu organs.

First, fix the teeth.

The kidney dominates the bone and the tooth is the bone. Kidney failure, tooth decay; Strong kidney qi, strong bone marrow and white and bright teeth. Symptoms such as loose teeth, tooth loss, tooth decay, tooth decay and gingival recession are mostly caused by deficiency of kidney qi. Therefore, protecting teeth can not only prevent and treat dental diseases, but also be one of the measures to strengthen kidney and tonify kidney.

(1) Knock on your teeth

The method of knocking teeth was first seen in Bao Puzi written by Ge Hong in Jin Dynasty. As the saying goes, "The way to keep your teeth firm is to knock your teeth 300 times in the morning." Yan Zhitui in the Northern Qi Dynasty said in the Family Instructions for Yan's Health Care: "My teeth are shaking and my diet is hot and cold. I saw the way to bite the bullet. Just knock your teeth three hundred times in the morning, even if you recover for a few days, you must stick to it today. " "Four Essentials of Caution in Health Care" also said: "Those who have teeth are also the standard of supervision. They need to knock a few times, but knocking is not dental caries."

Tapping teeth can promote blood circulation and tissue metabolism of teeth, gums and periodontal tissues, exercise muscles, promote salivary gland secretion and clean the mouth, thus enhancing the stability and periodontal function of teeth.

Tooth tapping method: the mouth is slightly closed, and then the upper and lower teeth beat each other rhythmically, not too hard. Knock all teeth, knock 1 time every morning or knock twice in the morning and evening. Knock 36 times at a time, or knock for 5 minutes every day.

Tongue tapping method: first tap the upper and lower incisors and canines, and then tap the upper and lower teeth (canines and molars). When knocking on the side teeth, you can knock on one side first and then the other side, and knock on each side for about 20 times. Finally, stir your tongue up, down, left and right and lick your teeth. This method has the functions of strengthening teeth, preventing dental caries, helping digestion and preventing teeth from loosening.

(2) Chewing

Chewing is another form of knocking at the door. Chewing has the functions of promoting saliva secretion, invigorating spleen and stomach, promoting digestion, strengthening kidney and teeth, cleaning oral cavity and preventing caries, and also has the functions of improving intelligence, strengthening brain, resisting aging, losing weight, caring skin, moistening skin and improving eyesight.

There are two kinds of chewing: material chewing and non-material chewing, both of which can play a health care role in teeth and mouth.

Chew with something: refers to daily eating and chewing. Chew slowly, let the food be chewed in your mouth, fully stimulate saliva secretion, and mix it with saliva before swallowing. In addition to chewing when eating three meals, you can also chew some dried fruits properly to promote tooth movement and saliva secretion.

No chewing: it is a kind of simulated chewing, which is a kind of movement similar to the chewing process when there is no food in the mouth. It is a unique traditional health care method in ancient times, which has been circulating in China for a long time. Pay attention to the participation of all teeth when you don't chew anything.

Chewing gum method: including chewing bubble gum and chewing gum. This method can not only chew and tap teeth, stimulate saliva secretion, enhance local blood circulation, promote the normal development of teeth and delay facial aging, but also clean the mouth, strengthen muscles and brains, and enhance memory.

(3) Massage

Massage your gums with your forefinger for 10 minute every morning, and massage your cheeks, Shousanli and Hegu points for 1 minute in the morning and evening to prevent teeth from loosening. Or sit up in the morning and tap with the index finger, middle finger and ring finger three times in turn, and cycle three times. Before going to bed, sit up and knock your teeth in the same way.

Second, rinse your mouth and clean your teeth

Gargling can clear the foul air in the mouth and clean the teeth. China recorded in the Book of Rites of the Western Zhou Dynasty in BC 1 100: "The first crow of a chicken makes it salty to wash." It shows that there was a hygienic habit of getting up early and gargling. In the Tang Dynasty, Sun Simiao pointed out in "A Thousand Women's Daolin Nourishing Sex": "Rinse your mouth several times after meals to make your teeth invincible." Then the whole book said, "Today, when people wash their teeth every morning, they are upside down. Where the poison of a day's diet accumulates in the teeth, if you wash it at night, the dirt will be gone and the teeth will be white. Therefore, washing in the morning is better than washing at night, which is beneficial to raising teeth. If you look at your teeth today, you will rinse your mouth after every meal, then your teeth will be old and white, and the beauty of your life can be seen. "I realize that brushing my teeth twice in the morning and evening is more important, especially at night, and I emphasize that I must rinse my mouth after meals." "Trivial Record" said: "You can't rinse your mouth with hot soup, it will damage your teeth. "It is suggested that the temperature of the mouthwash should be appropriate to avoid damaging the teeth. Su Dongpo advocates gargling with tea. " Only after eating and drinking enough, gargling with strong tea can not only help digestion and relieve boredom, but also clear the spleen and stomach, strengthen teeth and eliminate smoking addiction. ""Lei Yong Zhong Fang "said:" Washing and cleaning with salt soup, knocking at the door and pecking are always the way of hygiene. " Put forward to clean the mouth with salt.

Brushing teeth is also an important measure to maintain oral hygiene. Adults generally brush their teeth twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. They brush their teeth after lunch if they have the conditions, and rinse their mouths after meals if they have no conditions. Babies can clean their mouths with cotton swabs dipped in cold boiled water, and children should choose children's toothbrushes when brushing their teeth. The choice of toothpaste is generally daily toothpaste. If you are sick, you can choose medical toothpaste, and children should use children's toothpaste.

Third, pharynx and body fluids

Swallowing saliva is swallowing saliva. Traditional Chinese medicine also calls saliva Jin Jin Yu Quan, nectar from nectar and Huachi Shenshui. Sun Simiao wrote in "A Thousand Daughters Must Be Determined": "Yuquan people have ulterior motives. Before Shan Chao gets up, he must rinse his mouth and swallow it. " He added, "People eat Yuquan in court." And warned: "Don't spit too much", and "count your teeth and drink chalcedony" to protect your health. Tao Hongjing pointed out in the Record of Health Preservation and Longevity: "Do not cough and vomit, and lose fat liquid." Fat liquid, that is, saliva, is called fat spot because it has the function of nourishing the body. In the Ming Dynasty, Li Shizhen recorded in Compendium of Materia Medica: "Therefore, it is called clear water body for the tiller to swallow body fluid. Therefore, the tripod does not spit, the essence stays forever and does not fade; Vomiting for a long time will damage the essence, turn into lung disease and dry skin. Therefore, it is better to spit far than to spit near, and it is better not to spit near. " It can be seen that ancient physicians have long recognized the importance of saliva to human health.

Saliva contains many substances existing in plasma, such as mucin, globulin, amino acids, urea, uric acid and so on. Inorganic substances in saliva include sodium, potassium, calcium, thiocyanate, salt, chlorine, ammonia and so on. It also contains a variety of enzymes, mainly salivary amylase, a small amount of maltase and phosphatase, and also contains parotin and trace elements to delay aging. In addition, there is water and a certain amount of oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide gas. Digestion is the main function of saliva, and it also has the functions of dissolving, lubricating, helping food to swallow, cleaning and sterilizing, neutralizing and buffering, immunity, detoxification and healing sores, repairing injuries, health care and anti-aging, etc. You can't spit at will. People can use chewing and drum washing to stimulate the subauricular glands and increase saliva secretion. Pharyngeal fluid includes two links: properly increasing saliva secretion and how to swallow. Commonly used methods are:

Tao Hongjing swallowed body fluid in Liang Dynasty: "Before cleaning, peck your teeth, close your eyes and hold it, gargle and swallow it three times ... all diseases are removed." The method of swallowing body fluids with cold modesty in Ming Dynasty: "When you get up, sit up, pay close attention to your breathing, put your tongue on your palate, shut your mouth and adjust your breath. Body fluid is self-generated, gradually full of mouth, divided into three times, and follow your heart. "

The method of swallowing body fluid by immortals in Ming Dynasty: "Every day when chickens crow, you can get up and sit on the bed, hold your breath, knock on your teeth and concentrate for a long time ... Huachi is aquatic, full of pride and easy to swallow, and enter Dantian to make up for Yuanyang."

Stir water and body fluid: stir your mouth with your tongue, close your lips, drum your cheeks and rinse your mouth 36 times, swallow it three times and send it to Tian Chan. Regular use can promote fluid production to quench thirst, tonify kidney and strengthen body, and prevent and treat oropharyngeal and gastrointestinal diseases.

Stir the sea and swallow body fluid: put your tongue in your mouth and gently stir inside and outside your teeth to increase saliva, which is called "red dragon stirring the sea" or "crossing the river". Then swallow saliva.

Fourth, prevent oral trauma and toxic injury.

Prevention of oral trauma and toxic injuries, such as mouth, teeth, lips and tongue being hit and bumped, fish biting stems, falling injuries, sand and hard objects, etc. Contact with chemical toxic substances, such as alkali, acid, benzene and lead. , can cause injury through breathing or misoperation. It is also necessary to prevent drug poisoning. For example, taking some Chinese and western medicines for a long time will lead to discoloration of teeth and gums. For example, taking tetracycline for a long time at a young age will lead to yellowing of teeth and dysplasia; Long-term use of traditional Chinese medicine Heixitan will lead to black gums.

V. Prevention and treatment of oral diseases

Oral diseases can also cause damage to the oral cavity. Common oral diseases include periodontitis, dental caries, oral ulcer, oral fungal infection and so on. First of all, we should prevent the occurrence of these lesions and treat them in time to avoid further damage.
