Magnetic field therapy, also known as "magnetic therapy" and "magnetic acupoint therapy", is a method to treat diseases by allowing magnetic fields to act on certain parts or acupoints of the human body and make magnetic lines penetrate deep into human tissues. The mechanism of magnetic therapy is to accelerate the resurrection and renewal of cells, enhance the vitality of blood cells, purify blood, improve microcirculation, correct endocrine disorders and disorders, and adjust the balance of yin and yang of physiological functions of the body.
China is the first country in the world to use magnetic therapy to treat diseases. In BC 180, Sima Qian, a historian of the Han Dynasty, recorded in Records of the Historian, Biographies of Bian Que and Cang Gong: "The King of Qi served the doctor and fell ill. He made five stones (magnet, realgar, Zeng Qing, cinnabar and bletilla striata) and presented them. Those who are not spicy can't serve them. " Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica in the Eastern Han Dynasty also stated that "magnets are pungent and cool, which can cure joint pain, rheumatism and swelling of limbs, so they cannot hold things". Tao Hongjing in the Northern and Southern Dynasties believed that magnets had therapeutic effects such as nourishing kidney and strengthening spine, tonifying kidney and relieving vexation, dredging joints, relieving pain and reducing swelling. Sun Simiao, a doctor in the Tang Dynasty, wrote a prescription to prepare thousands of gold for emergency use, which contained "applying magnets at the end to stop pain and stop bleeding" to treat gold sores. Li Shizhen, a doctor in Ming Dynasty, also made a comprehensive and detailed record of treating diseases with magnets in Compendium of Materia Medica.
Magnetic therapy was applied earlier in foreign countries, and magnets were recorded as laxatives in 200 AD. In 450 AD, there was a report in Greece about holding a magnet to treat gout. In A.D. 1000, Arabs used magnets to treat liver diseases. /kloc-In the 6th century, the Swiss used magnets to treat diseases such as rectocele and edema. Later, magnetic therapy equipment such as magnetic tape appeared one after another. In the 1950s, it was reported that magnetic antihypertensive band was used to treat hypertension and neurasthenia. 196 1 after the first international biomagnetism congress, biomagnetism, a frontier science, came into being.
Magnetic field can be used to treat many diseases, such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, nervous headache, neurasthenia, hemifacial spasm, bronchitis, enteritis, ulcer, cervical spondylosis, lumbago and leg pain, acute lumbar sprain, lumbar muscle strain, biliary colic, gallstones, urinary calculi, rhinitis, dermatitis, phlebitis, etc.
Generally speaking, magnetic field therapy has no obvious side effects and contraindications. Only a few patients have symptoms such as blood pressure fluctuation, dizziness, nausea, drowsiness or insomnia, which generally disappear without treatment and stop taking drugs for a few days.
Magnetic therapy mainly has the following functions:
1. Analgesia: ① The analgesic effect of magnetic therapy is various. For example, magnetic therapy can improve the nutrition of blood tissue, so it can overcome the pain caused by iron deficiency, hypoxia, inflammatory exudation, swelling, compression of nerve endings, and accumulation of painful substances. ② Magnetic field can improve the activity of hydrolase, hydrolyze or transform the pain-causing substance, and achieve the purpose of analgesia. ⑧ Magnetic field can stimulate acupoints, dredge meridians, harmonize qi and blood, and reduce the excitability of peripheral nerves through nerve reflex under acupoints, thus achieving analgesic effect.
2. Anti-inflammatory and detumescence:
The causes of inflammation are biological and abiotic.
① Biological inflammation is caused by bacteria, viruses and parasites;
② Abiotic inflammation is caused by low temperature, high temperature, various toxicity and mechanical trauma.
Generally speaking, magnetic therapy has a good effect on abiotic inflammation and chronic inflammation of biological inflammation. Because magnetic field can strengthen local blood circulation and improve tissue permeability, which is beneficial to the dissipation and absorption of exudate; In addition, the magnetic field can also improve the nonspecific immunity of the body, make white blood cells active and enhance phagocytosis, so it has the effect of detumescence and anti-inflammation.
3. Reduce blood pressure and blood lipids:
① Magnetic field can strengthen the inhibition process of cerebral cortex, regulate autonomic nerves, strengthen the microcirculation function of the body and lower blood pressure.
② Magnetic field can change the long hydrocarbon chain of cholesterol into short chain and become polycrystalline center. In addition, the rotation of red blood cells makes cholesterol easy to deposit on the blood vessel wall and be easily discharged, so it has the function of reducing blood fat.
4. Calm down:
Magnetic therapy has a certain regulating effect on meridians, nerves and body fluids, which can not only improve sleep state, promote sleep, prolong sleep time, but also relax muscles and relieve itching.
5. Inhibit tumor:
Magnetic therapy has a certain inhibitory effect on benign and malignant tumors.
① Too many tumors, such as fibromas and lipomas, can shrink or disappear;
② For malignant tumors, such as digestive tract tumor, lymphoid tumor, liver cancer, kidney cancer, etc. It can also improve symptoms, inhibit growth or reduce lumps.
At present, barium ferrite, silver ferrite and samarium cobalt permanent magnets commonly used in the medical market have a magnetic field strength of 2000-3000 Gauss. Commonly used magnetotherapy articles include various magnetotherapy machines (devices), magnetotherapy blood pressure-lowering meters, magnetotherapy belts, magnetotherapy tablets, magnetotherapy necklaces, magnetotherapy bras, magnetotherapy shorts, magnetotherapy glasses, magnetotherapy vests, magnetotherapy pillows, magnetotherapy bracelets, magnetotherapy chairs, magnetotherapy cups, etc.
During the period of 1984, Shen Ting, an engineer from Beijing Institute of Arts and Crafts, proposed to develop a series of magnetic therapy jewelry. According to the characteristics of seven kinds of jewelry, such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches and hairpins, the direction and intensity of magnetic field are carefully set. A large number of clinical practices have proved that magnetic therapy jewelry has a good effect on neurasthenia, cervical spondylosis and hypertension. For example, 260 cases of cervical spondylosis were treated with this necklace in general hospitals of beijing jishuitan hospital and Beijing Military Region, with a total effective rate of 38.5% and a remarkable effective rate of 27.3%.
In the early 1990s, the therapy of drinking magnetized water in a magnetized cup was initiated in China. Professor Ma Yilong, a biologist of Tongji Medical University, used H-shaped strong field magnetized cup test to prove that magnetized water has the functions of promoting blood circulation, dissolving stones in human body, reducing blood viscosity, enhancing the permeability of human biofilm, restoring vascular elasticity, healing ulcer surface and improving human immunity. Magnetized water is called "water of life", and experts also call it ionic active water. Regular drinking can activate the activity of enzymes, prevent and treat diseases, resist aging and prolong life.
In recent years, people have produced far-infrared magnetic bedding according to the effects of far-infrared rays and magnetism on human body. Combining far infrared ray with magnetism, and using the function of relaxing tendons and activating collaterals of magnetism and the warm effect of far infrared ray in promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, keeping warm and protecting health, it plays an auxiliary role in the treatment of chronic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension and cerebral thrombosis, and has a good development prospect.
