Anhua is a famous county in Hunan for nonferrous metals, hydropower resources, forestry resources, tea production and medicinal materials industry. It has successively won the titles of "Hometown of Magnolia Officinalis in China", "Hometown of Badminton", "Hometown of Bamboo in China", "Most Beautiful Town in China" and "Best Healthy Leisure Tourism Resort in China".
From 2065438 to September 2005, the Implementation Plan of Hunan Provincial Department of Land and Resources for Promoting the Economic System Reform of Counties Directly Administered by the Province was promulgated. According to the "Program", Anhua County has become a pilot county (city) for the economic system reform in Hunan Province.

Production techniques were listed in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection list. In 20 12, the tea garden area in Anhua county was 200,000 mu, and there were 9 tea processing enterprises, with a processing capacity of 38,000 tons and a comprehensive output value of 5 billion yuan. Anhua County has three famous trademarks of Anhua Black Tea, Baishaxi and Yiqingyuan in China, and five famous trademarks of Hunan Province such as Hualaijian, Guo Jin, Jiuyang and A Xiang.
Anhua leicha
Anhua tea-smashing originated in Han Dynasty and flourished in Ming and Qing Dynasties. So far, tea smashing has spread in Anhua, north of central Hunan. Generally, rice, peanuts, sesame seeds, mung beans, salt, tea, litsea cubeba and ginger are used as raw materials, which are mashed into paste with a mortar, boiled with water and mixed evenly, so that fried rice is fragrant and delicious.
